[ooc: September 4th, around free time before curfew. Open to all Water Members]
Tap. Tap. Tap. Yosuke sat at the desk in the cottage staring down at the papers in front of him. Having done all his homework already, the boy had set out to write letters home. His father was probably wondering how the school was going, and his friends were probably wondering why he was spending his last two semesters at this school and not with them. The pages in front of him were still blank, even after two hours. How was he supposed to describe this school to anyone? Frowning in frustration, he drew big x's along the papers before crumpling them up and tossing them down to the ground next to him where already several more crumpled balls lay. Outside he could hear the calm ocean hitting the shoreline, part of him wondered who was going to be fighting tomorrow. He hoped that it wasn't too many people least of all him.

Conceal, don't feel. Conceal, don't feel.
Elsa repeated her little mantra to herself as she slipped into the room. She didn't bother to look up at Yosuke, instead keeping her attention focused firmly on her books for English class, and just headed to a chair toward the back. She should have felt more relaxed, but knowing what the next day would bring had her nervous beyond belief. The names for the first fights were supposed to be posted, she was sure, and that meant a possibility of having to fight while her powers were still raw and untamed. Elsa hated the idea more than words could describe, and she was having an immensely difficult time keeping herself together. The only thing keeping her from unleashing a blizzard upon her circle's dorms was her firm desire to keep her power hidden. So far, it seemed to be working. There hadn't been an incident yet, so she believed she was safe enough to be in the dorms and making an attempt at reading for a class.
As soon as she was seated, Elsa opened her book and began to read. Her gloves made turning the pages a bit difficult, but she wasn't about to admit to that much. She didn't need to draw attention to herself.
...Still, she did end up looking at Yosuke after a time. What was he doing with all those crumpled papers he had laying around? One fair colored eyebrow rose in confusion and, after a time, she decided to ask.
"What are you doing?"

Yosuke looked up at fellow water circle. He recognized her from their english class. Sighing, he set down his pen before answering. "I was trying to write a letter to my friends and dad, but i am not sure how to." he frowned. "I mean, how do you go about saying "Hey, turns out my new school has fights every friday, where we might kill each other. Maybe this letter will be my last." He was trying to be sarcastic and frowned at the letters. "Explaining that or any of this school has been hard so." he glanced down at the mess of papers. "Looks like I made a bit of a mess." The brown haired boy gave a small smile in a joking way before starting to pick up the mess, still remaining his attention on Elsa. "What are you reading?"

Eyes on the male folded slightly as he moved past the students before them. His head raised. Interaction. Socialization. Two things he wasn't used to. Not anymore. He breathed in deeply, tucking the Poe poetry books and Lovecraft horror novel under his arm. He breathed in deeply before moving on. Socialization wasn't any place for him. Not anymore. Not after what Danielle Moonstar had shown him. A killer, a murderer, a monster. The thoughts sent a chill up his spine.
He moved through the two students without saying anything, green orbs looking down to the floor as he walked, making his way towards the stairs which would bring him closer to his room.

White unicorn had been hiding in her room, hoping that she could make the whole day disappear, maybe if she stayed in her room long enough then there would be no need to worry about the fights. Yeah, they couldn't possibly make her fight if she was sick or something could they? The light-bulb quickly went off, she had to find the others and tell them her brilliant idea.
Jumping off her bed, she made her way into the hall, running so fast that she bumped into Kevin. "Oof!" she muttered rubbing her head before looking up at the new human. "Sorry about that. I was in a hurry!" she said carefully before tilting her head to the side. This human didn't seem like the others, something was very off. "Are you okay?"

Kevin almost took a fall, jumping back from Sweetie Belle's bump. It was out of instinct that he did it. Someone even bumping against him could make them die. So especially when he saw the cute little white filly standing at his feet, he took a stumble back. His widened as he looked down at her. A little horn was atop her head. She was a unicorn.
Kevin clutched his books close to his chest. "I'm okay," he said, "I'm fine. Just...watch out okay? You don't wanna touch me, even by accident, alright?"

Sweetie Belle blinked confused, why wasn't she allowed to touch him? Was he deadly? She didn't see anything dangerous about this human. Raising an eyebrow, she nodded. "Um, okay." she said looking at him with very much confusion in her eyes. She kicked her hoof on the ground unsure of what else to say. "But why not?" she asked "Do you have some kind of magic that could hurt me?" she titled her head to the side. "You don't look scary though, so that can't be it."

"A book for my English class. It's actually pretty interesting, so I've gotten a fair bit of it read by now," Elsa replied. Her book's cover was concealed by a blue book covering, as Elsa tended to do so she would be able to find her books more easily if they ended up misplaced, and there was a light blue bookmark stuck between some of the latter pages. Blue, quite obviously, was her color of choice. It was no wonder she was at home in the water circle. This was practically a circle dedicated to the color blue. She only hoped Anna had been coping well with that much. After all, her little sister seemed like more of a fan of green than she was of blue.
"I just thought I should get my homework done now, before we have to find out anything about these fights we're supposed to be involved in," Elsa said. The last thing she wanted to do was find out who was to be involved in the next day's fights. The longer she went without that information, the better off she would be.

"Yeah?" Yosuke said. He had only done the assigned chapters, he hadn't gotten pretty far in the english class. It was much better than the Con-art class. He gave a tiny smile as he picked up the last of the papers and placed them into the trash can besides the table he sat at. "Yeah, the fights aren't something I am looking forward to either. A few people in my classes actually are looking forward to it if you can believe that." He rolled his brown eyes before rubbing his temples. "Guess I can expect there to be some people who enjoy beating up other kids for some unknown person's amusement."
Shaking his head, he placed a bookmark in his textbook. "With any luck though, the first fights won't be too bad."

(ooc: well, the thread for just the two of them seemed to have stalled...)
"Hey, Elsa!"
And with little else in the way of introduction, Anna was in the room and dropping to sit on the floor, leaning against her sister's chair and tilting her head to look over her shoulder at Elsa. The knot of her tie tugged a little tightly against her throat at this angle, but the younger princess didn't really mind it, or the uniform in general. Well, the colour wasn't exactly her, but otherwise, it wasn't so bad. It certainly did absolutely nothing to dampen her elation at actually being able to spend time with her sister again. In fact, it was safe to say that there was very, very little that could bring her down at this point. She'd been practically unable to stop grinning all the way through the history homework she had just been working on.
Her smile flickered a moment in puzzlement as she saw that Elsa was still wearing her gloves. She must really, REALLY have a thing about dirt if she kept wearing them not just indoors, but while reading too. It wasn't really her business, of course, but... didn't that make the pages much harder to turn?
"Who's the guy?" she asked, belatedly noticing that her sister had been talking to someone. That, alone, was enough to raise Anna's eyebrows; Elsa, having contact with anyone outside their family? It was practically unheard of; then again, she had the feeling that a lot of things were going to change while they were here, and this was by no means the last of them.

Elsa glanced up upon hearing her sister's voice, though there was no surprise in her eyes this time. She knew it was strange, her speaking to someone outside of family, but there was a reason behind it. ...Okay, not really. Elsa barely spoke to anyone outside of class, so of course it was going to be strange to see it actually happening. In response to Anna's question, she offered a little shrug and a tiny smile. She hadn't the slightest clue of who Yosuke was beyond vaguely recognizing him from English class. That was the best answer the crown princess could give.
"Honestly, I barely know him Anna. I was just being polite," Elsa answered. It may have been viewed as rude to not know his name, but for Elsa it was typical enough. She barely got to know anyone in the school in the days she'd been there. Jack, so far, had been the only exception to the rule. That was mainly because she believed he understood her and her powers. She wouldn't have to worry about hurting him, either. ...At least, she hoped that much was true. Outside of him, though, Elsa had barely exchanged conversation with anyone.
"I briefly saw him in an English class I'm taking," she said as a means of explaining that much. Now she just had to introduce her sister to him.
"This is my sister Anna. Anna, this is... Ah... Right, I don't know your name," Elsa said.

Yosuke mentally slapped himself at the idea of not saying his name to the girls at first. Then again, he had only asked Elsa the name of the assignment in english. There really wasn't enough time to introduce himself to her then. He smiled and nodded at Anna. She seemed nice. "Nice to meet you Anna, I'm Yosuke Hanamura but Yosuke is fine with me." He had no problems at all talking with girls he just hoped that they didn't think he was being too forward.
"I was just asking your sister what she was reading. Kind of forgot we were in the same english class." at that last remark he gave a very uneasy laugh.

"Oh, right." Anna looked briefly embarassed to have taken the interaction for anything more, but quickly shrugged it off. She supposed, after having been shut away for so long, she really couldn't blame Elsa for not wanting to interact with others beyond what politeness dictated; at least not yet. Some time soon, though, Anna figured, her sister was going to have to come further out of her shell; with so many other students around, it was going to be practically inevitable. And she'd be on hand to help Elsa with that when the time came, of course; what else were sisters for?
"Yosuke... is that foreign?" Anna couldn't help it; she was curious. It wasn't a name like any she'd heard before.

Yosuke blinked, he shouldn't have been surprised that some people and animals wouldn't know his name or what language it was. "Yeah, i guess you could say that. Where I'm from its not but..I come from a little town in Japan called Inaba."
That wasn't true, he had grown up in the big city but had never considered that his home at all. "Where do you two come from?" he had been wondering that for awhile actually. He knew that most of the ponies came from Ponyville? (that was a very strange name but figured it was nothing to be concerned about.)

Really, Elsa was more surprised that Yosuke hadn't asked for her own name. She couldn't recall if they'd been introduced in English class or not, and by that point the crown princess wasn't going to chase the issue if she didn't have to. No, she'd much rather just try and carry on the conversation from there if she could. Plus, she had Anna around to ask questions if she really wanted to. Elsa guessed that was good enough, but also felt bad for making her sister into the inquisitor just because she was a bit too socially awkward. Regardless, that didn't mean Elsa would stay silent the whole time. She'd speak when she felt she had something important enough to say or something to really contribute to the conversation.
Yosuke's explanation regarding his name earned a look of interest from Elsa. Being one who had resigned herself to nearly permanent isolation, she had never really gotten to know a lot about other places beyond reading about them in books when she could. Now, though, the two princesses were learning together. It was a very interesting experience, to be sure.
"I see... My sister and I come from Arendelle. I wouldn't know how it compares to your home, but I've always had a soft spot for it," Elsa said. Of course she would; she'd never been able to go anywhere else until then.
