"I don't think this is allowed to end until one of us is unconscious. I would suggest you just knock me out now, but I'm not going to go down without at least trying to fight back.
"Oh yeah?" Babs' eyes narrowed darkly. She was bigger and stronger than Scootaloo. She could have just ended it right then and there. Ears flicked down as her eyes grew wide. but what would that make her? A bully? She shook her freckled head, blowing a piece of hair out of her face. Guilt took her over. She couldn't. She couldn't just knock her out. But what was the alternative? Tumbling and scuffling? She whimpered.
"I thought maybe...I thought that..." She gritted her teeth. "You want me to give you a chance? Fine! I-" A drip of blood splashed off of her mouth and onto Scootaloo's coat. "Sorry. I mean..." She lifted her hoof to place it on her mouth.
"Go ahead. Fight back."

Scoot could tell Babs didn't like the idea of giving her a chance; and honestly, the little pegasus couldn't blame her. Nonetheless, Scootaloo took the opportunity when it was offered, rolling out from beneath her friend and regaining her hooves. The purple-maned filly gave herself a shake which caused her already very rumpled shirt to billow slightly and her tie - which had been a stupid thing to wear into the arena, Scoot had abruptly realised - to swing wildly from side to side. Aside from not giving Babs the chance to use the tie to pull her off her hooves - the little pegasus had just begun to suspect that might indeed be her opponent's next tactic to bring her back to the ground without hurting her - Scootaloo wasn't sure what her strategy even was.
But that in itself was something, though; she did have agility on her side that she doubted Babs could match. Even if she couldn't hurt Babs - at least not in good conscience - she could at least keep on the move long enough to tire the other filly out, couldn't she? Assuming Babs ever even got tired; she certainly hadn't seemed to back when she'd been hounding them all over Ponyville. There was only one way to find out for sure, though.
"Or maybe we can come up with a new outcome."
Scoot abruptly began to circle her friend. Her tiny wings beat behind her, even if they lifted her no further than a couple of inches off the ground, as she circled the girl again and again; every so often darting quickly towards Babs to fake a punch. Not that she ever actually made contact; still, hopefully the other filly would think to react as though she'd been hit.
What good that would do, beyond buy her some time and make her look like a bit less of a mediocre fighter in front of Rainbow Dash, Scoot hadn't a clue. She was basically not doing much more than making it up as she went along at present. And as for how Babs would react... well there, she had even less of a clue.
(ooc: pssst, Babs, maybe give Scoot a couple of good bruises, at least? Even just accidentally; I want her to be left with something physical to remember the fight by ^^)
