(ooc: September 1st, during free period. Open to all fire circle students.)
"This is crap."
Sync had only been in the school for one day, and already he thought everything about it sucked. Social interaction with people he didn't even like? Check. Annoying classes that he would sooner skip than actually care about? Check. Food that was okay at best? Check. Everything sucked as far as he was concerned, right down to the uniform. Red wasn't even his color. He was practically made to wear green, but there he was sporting the colors of a fire circle member.
He'd abandoned his tie. The stupid thing had been giving him trouble all day, and now that the day was over he'd cast it onto the floor and was laying on his bed with his feet up in the air above him. Spiky green hair was flattened slightly against his pillow and an expression of sheer annoyance painted the teenager's face. He wanted nothing more than to go back to Daath. At least there someone had a plan for him. He may have been a puppet, but at least he had a purpose of sorts. Here? He was just an empty shell going through the motions of going to school. It was utter crap.
"There's got to be some way I can get out of this. Maybe if I just jump out the window and make a run for it... No, they'd see me. Guess I have to suck it up and hope someone tries to put an end to this pathetic life."
He didn't care who heard him. By that point, Sync was mostly venting to himself anyway.

"You sound like a barrel of laughs."
Monster walked into the room, eyes narrowed as he loosened his own tie. It was aching him; reminded him of private school. He tilted his head to the side as he looked at the human before him. Green hair, blue eyes; he was human alright but Johnny wasn't scared. He was willing to put aside his fear of toxicity from humans to gain some allies among the human population. The male knew he'd need friends so he amped up the charm like he had with Sully and grinned wickedly.
"Johnny Worthington," he said, "You got a name there, buddy boy?"

Sync glanced up, not even flinching at the sight of Johnny, and offered a snort in response to the statement. The green-haired teen hardly cared what anyone thought of him. The world hated him, so he hated it right back. That meant barely opening up enough to make friends. He wasn't in much of a mood to bother with befriending Johnny, anyway. Green eyes closed and he let one leg drape over the other before speaking.
"Sync," was his answer to the question of his name. An unusual one, but he didn't care either. Some could speculate if it was short for syncopated, others could guess if it was short for synchronized. Either way, it was as worth as little as his life.
"So, how long until we get thrown into a fight anyway? We all know it's coming at this point. Why else would there be an arena around here?"

Natsu walked into the room and caught the last bit of the green haired boy's statement. "Here I thought that I was the only one who wanted to get the fights started." he said with a confident smile and glimmer of excitement in his red eyes. "Let's get the fights going, i want to kick some serious butt and prove to that stupid blue unicorn that no one is gunna mess with the fire circle!" his fists started flare up as he spoke with confidence. "Name's Natsu, one of the best wizards in Fairy Tail."

Astrid, honestly, wasn't sure she thought much of her fellow circle members.
Hearing voices as she had entered the castle that served as their dorms, the viking girl had headed over to their source, and she now loitered in the doorway, propping herself up upon the handle of her trusty battleaxe as she watched the trio already gathered. The horned creature defied description of any beast she knew of; the pink-haired boy sounded as if he was all bluster and she would have been surprised if he could back any of it up; and the green-haired one sounded as though he simply hated everything. If any of them intrigued Astrid, she supposed it was him, at least to a certain degree. No, she didn't care what people did typically, but his attitude was... well, curious.
Still, they were all in her circle, so she supposed it would fall to her to watch their backs. As it always seemed to.
Swinging her axe up into an easier carrying grip, Astrid decided it was about time to make her presence known. She might have cut quite an imposing figure, stepping into the room with battleaxe in hand; had it not been for the school uniform she still wore. Aside from its utter impracticallity in combat or training, Astrid figured the shirt and tie combination really didn't suit her - and was, in fact, at ridiculous odds with her practical hairdo and otherwise battle-ready look. Still, it was what it was, and there was little use in complaining about it.
"Yeah, only fun if something's trying to kill you. Fights take place every friday," she answered the green-haired youth's question as she stopped just inside the doorway, her weapon just held loosely in her hand. She'd done her own brief research on the way things worked around here once the day's classes had ended - more than any of these could have done, it seemed - so that she wouldn't be caught unprepared, and felt she had a pretty good idea of what would go on regarding the fights.

Having come to stand right outside the door, Blitz's eyes roved around the room, taking in the three humans and the one... whatever it was with curving horns. The humans were pretty young, not much more then teenagers. The creature he wasn't so sure about. He knew there were more people in his circle then this, but he wondered if he was the only adult there. He couldn't believe that someone was actually making kids fight each other. How could anyone find that entertaining?
Blitz stopped in the doorway in order to avoid running into Astrid before slipping past the axe-wielding blonde ('Seems like someone's ready to fight.' He noted). "I don't suppose anyone got a good look at who we're going to be fighting?" He asked, his heavy German accent permeating his speech. He didn't know how any of them would feel about his barging in on the conversation like this or even having a big talking dog-man there with them, but he was supposed to be undercover. That meant getting to know the other people here with him.
Carefully, the tall doberman pinscher adjusted his neat sports jacket. Honestly, he liked being able to dress up like this. It was a rare opportunity for him to do so. The silver armor that he'd worn for missions with the Road Rovers looked regal, but there was just something about a dress shirt and tie that made one look plain classy. In his mind, these clothes just further accentuated his good looks. His appearance was one thing Blitz took serious pride in.

A certain cerulean-blooded troll had been listening in all the while, perched atop a rafter above their common room trying aimlessly to log into Trollian on her husktop, but to no avail. There didn't seem to be any internet connection, human or otherwise, in the school, which meant she couldn't try and pester some of the people in her contacts to waste the time in this stuffy place. It was pretty disappointing, actually almost irritating, and Vriska was starting to grow bored hiding and trying to pester people she couldn't reach. But as her circle-mates started to mingle below her, she remembered that not all was lost-- who was to say that she wouldn't make any "friends" in the school here? Human or otherwise, she could tell it would be fun to get into the heads of these students. She flipped over and let herself dangle from the scaffolding from her legs to face the little group. "Come oooooooon, don't 8e a spoilsport!" she crooned to Blitz, voice as theatric as ever. "Unpredicta8ility is part of the fun!!!!!!!!" She lowered herself down to the ground and started smoothing out her uniform, a dress shirt and red tie under a neat black button-up vest with black slacks. It wasn't what she'd call her usual sort of attire, but she didn't mind it that much. In fact, it made her feel dignified, despite the lack of her navy blue blood color in the outfit to show others her caste. Whatever the case, she didn't want to simply ignore her classmates despite their low-class red human blood. The hemospectrum didn't exactly matter here, especially not to the humans. They were all fairly feeble-minded and gullible, lots of fun for messing around with. "Frid8y's coming up soon, you know," she added, grinning with her fanged teeth. "I'd 8e excited if I were you!!!!!!!!"

For all this being the Fire Circle, and the Fire Circle's castle, there was a distinct lack of fire. Not so much as a single spark of flame! Strange as it was to be wandering around inside a stone...building, Nuka had expected to see at least one fire. It had been a bit since he had seen one, and the disappointment of not seeing one here was irritating to the leonine pyromaniac.
After a bit, he heard the sounds of ongoing conversations nearby, and decided to go see what all the commotion was about. Unfortunately, Kuzimu wasn't in his circle, or he'd have sought her out. He arrived shortly after Blitz, and followed him into the room, slinking past Astrid and siting down with his back towards the wall, glowering around at the crowd of Fire Circle students. He didn't much care for the fact that he was, by virtue of being the only real animal present (he didn't really count Blitz as an animal), the shortest one in the room.
"Kind of hard to be excited when you might be pitted against a weakling," he snorted.

"Tch. Figures... Guess we're just going to have to slog through the rest of the week, then," Sync said in answer to Astrid's answer to his question. That was when he noticed just how many people had come in since he'd last spoken. One was saying something about a fairy tale (or something), there was a dog, a lion... Too much for Sync to keep track of or really care about. He waved a hand dismissively and sat up at last, only making the barest minimum effort to straighten out his messy hair a bit before speaking again.
"Anyone else think this whole school thing is stupid? What's the point in trying to teach us this useless junk if we're just going to die here?"

"The green-haired human does have a point," Vriska said with a little nod to Sync. "8ut all I'm hearing from the rest of you is 8LUH 8LUH 8LUUUUUUUUH. And I thought the humans I knew were 8oring!!!!!!!!" She took out the eight-sided dice she kept in the pocket of her pants and started rolling them in her hand idly, tossing them a bit as she continued, "If you ask me, I'd say the lot of you are COMPLEEEEEEEETELY underprepared. After all, you never know if you'll 8e the next one to go........" She smirked deviously, her blue-glossed lips parting to reveal her spiderlike fangs and gently fingering and rolling around her die in the palm of her gray hand. Mostly, Vriska was just trying to mess with the group to see how they'd react to her. She really didn't mean them any harm at the moment-- after all, they were all acquainting one another. But if she could find some way to use one of these guys to her advantage to win at this odd game, then who was to say she wouldn't test the waters?

Natsu stared at the creature in front of him, the one with the dice. Boy, and he thought the people on Galuna Isle looked freaky but what was this chick's deal? At least she wasn't the blue unicorn. Luckily, the pink haired boy saw that she was not here, at least not yet. "Hey! I'll have you know, i am completely compared for anything that this school can dish out. I fought some of the most powerful wizards in my land. So, if you think that I am unprepared you are wrong." he blinked as he stared at her teeth.
He thought that she looked awesome, if he wanted to be honest, but right now he just wanted to prove he was the best. "If you want someone who is unprepared its that blue unicorn from our circle. Trucy i think her name is." He honestly didn't care if he got Trixie's name wrong at all. The little show off.

" Come oooooooon, don't 8e a spoilsport! Unpredicta8ility is part of the fun!!!!!!!! Frid8y's coming up soon, you know,I'd 8e excited if I were you!!!!!!!!"Turning to see who it was that was addressing him, Blitz's eyes met a pair of orangish-yellow hued eyes. His reaction was instantaneous. Cropped ears canted back, he leapt back, startled by Vriska's sudden -- and frankly odd -- appearance. "Gah!" Almost immediately he felt embarrassed by his reaction. The Fire Circle didn't look like the type of crowd that you wanted to show weakness in front of. Unfortunately though, he had always been rather easy to scare, even now. Irritated, both at Vriska and at himself for being scared by her, he stood to his full height and fixed the troll with a stern flook. "Excited? For what? I don't want to play gladiator for some faceless weirdos." Hearing Synch speak up, he was inclined to agree with his statement -- why have them attend classes if there was a high chance that they'd die in the arena? But before he could add his five cents, Vriska's jabs at the group being unprepared rankled him further, and like Natsu he was quick to defend himself. "Unprepared? I am one of the fiercest dogs there is, and I was a top guard dog back in Berlin! No one has bitten more tooschies then me!" Blitz hadn't seen any blue unicorn like the one Natsu spoke of, so he couldn't say whether or not he agreed with him. Something else Natsu just said did catch his attention though. "Are you a wizard or something then?" He asked, looking at him with mild interest.

Natsu turned his attention away from the creature to face another one. This one he recognized, it was a dog. At his question, Natsu's eyes lit up and his smile grew big. "That's right. I'm Natsu Dragneel, a member of the wizard guild Fairy Tail." He showed off the strange mark on his arm. "This is my guild's symbol. I am one of the best out there actually." he said. "No one is going to mess with our circle as long as I am around!" At the way Blitz described himself, Natsu knew that the dog was going to be okay in his book.
--- "Ha! You are great wizard. That is rich coming from a pink haired-human such as yourself. No one is a better wizard than the Great and Powerful Trixie!" Smoke formed along with sparkles, just the way it did back in ponyville on stage and Trixie appeared. "No one will bring more honor to the fire circle than she!" The blue unicorn looked around at the other fire circle members. Hm, an interesting set of bunch. A lion, a few humans, an interesting creature with horns and fangs wearing glasses. a dog and a...monster? Demon? What was the blue creature? "You there? Strong one!" she said pointing to Johnny. "What do they call you?!"

The monster chuckled softly, eyes narrowed. These were his teammates? His housemates? He grinned over towards them, smoothing the fur between his horns. He looked over towards the 'monster' girl with the horns who'd just arrived. Mental note to self, he thought, Might flirt with her later.
"Oh I like her," he said, winking in the monster's direction before turning to Trixie. He liked her too. Anyone who called him 'strong' was on his friend's list for sure. "What do they call me?" He asked, "Name's Johnny Worthington the Third. Former president of Roar Omega Roar, the scariest frat on campus." He flexed his claws looking smugly at the pony.
"Friends, why are we just sitting here challenging each other? We should be forming as a unit. It's how my team won the Scare Games every year."

When Natsu showed him what appeared to be a tattoo, Blitz leaned in for a better look at the image. It reminded him of a stylized flaming bird. "I've never met a real wizard before. What kind of magic can you do?" Doberman was genuinely intrigued now. He'd always been a bit intrigued by magic though. How handy would it have been for him and the other Rovers to have magic back when Zachary Storm had nearly caused worldwide nuclear armageddon?
When Trixie made her grand entrance like a Las Vegas showman or something, he glanced over at her, then back at Natus, one brow ridge quirked. "I guess this is the unicorn you were talking about?" She was pretty loud, but seemed to talk a good game. If she was called the Great and Powerful Trixie, then surely she was called that for a reason... right?
As he watched Trucy -- no, Trixie, he corrected himself -- address Johnny, referring to him as "the strong one", Blitz felt the old familiar sting of envy. And what was he, chopped liver? So far, Natsu, Trixie, and the big creature who'd introduced himself as Johnny just now seemed to be eager to compete with the other circles. Frankly, Blitz didn't anticipate fighting rival circles or seeing anyone else do so. But Johnny had offered up a good suggestion. The Cano-Sapien knew logic when he heard it. Maybe by working together he could get a few friends and they'd help him figure out what was going on there at the academy. He nodded at Johnny.
"I can't disagree with that. Oh!" A sudden thought occurred to him -- why, he had failed to introduce himself. "I am Blitz. Perhaps some of you have heard of me and the other Road Rovers?" He glanced around expectantly.
