In Days of Old

[Angel]

Required reading? Well, the whole idea of it was rather foreign to Angel. Back home, she'd never have been expected to do much reading to begin with. Now she had a chapter to read? In a book she didn't even have, no less? Tentatively, the stray lifted a paw into the air to ask about this much. What were they meant to do if they didn't have a copy of the text book? She could only assume that maybe their teacher would hand one to them so they could begin properly.

"Ah... We will be getting a copy of the book, right? I wouldn't know where to find one otherwise."

Angel hoped she didn't sound as dumb as she might have thought she did. After all, it didn't look like anyone else had a copy of the book. Unless she'd missed something terribly important in the first days of being at the academy, she felt safe in guessing that no one had a copy of the book yet.

[Daring Do]

Daring Do nodded at the dog's question. "Yes, you will receive your copy after class today." she said before sighing. "I guess I should introduce myself then." The tan pegasus stood up on her desk to get a better view of her students. "Like I said, my name is Daring Do, you can call me Daring Do, Professor Daring, it doesn't matter to me." The scarlet eyed pony looked around the classroom. So few, maybe some people got lost. "I am a famous explorer in my home town of Equestria, and a treasure hunter."

The pegasus was quite proud of her talents but did not like to gloat. "I have explored many ancient sites like temples, shrines, even underground chambers and catacombs."
