King Sombra

Skills: Extremely powerful dark magic, highly intelligent, and utterly ruthless.

Brief History: Once an ambitious young unicorn no different from any of the other ponies in the Crystal Empire, King Sombra's fall to darkness came when he was refused a position in Celestia's new school for unicorns. Furious, he turned to the study of dark magic to increase his power, and take what he believed to be his by right. Taking the name King Sombra, he overthrew the rightful rulers of the Crystal Empire, and proclaimed himself their ruler, enslaving them and forcing them to labor for his benefit. The two Princesses of Equestria were forced to act personally, sealing the dark unicorn into the frozen ice, north of the Crystal Empire, but the empire vanished at the same time Sombra did, due to a curse he had placed upon it.
But, within his icy prison, King Sombra endured, plotting his eventual return to power. But something happened he had not foreseen, and an invitation was sent to him, still within his frozen prison, inviting him to Dante's Academy to teach. Intrigued, the dark unicorn put his plans of conquest on hold, since time wasn't an issue for him, and accepted the invitation, curious to see how by what magic he had been reached even in his icy prison.
