Make 'em Laugh...?

(September 2nd open to all students taking Ponyacci's class.)

Ponyacci sighed, ears folded back as he stepped up on the stage. As he moved it seemed as if a glow had come over the tired older pony, the entrance of the spotlight made his heart glow. He loved the spotlight but even better he loved teaching young ponies how to take the spotlight for themselves. He thought he'd be doing that here but it had become clear that his job was to cheer the students up, not teach them proper clowning. He'd handed his school over to another pony who'd been just under him in clowning. Now he regretted it terribly.

His eyes closed as he breathed in deeply, hearing the cheers and laughs of the crowd. It was time for the little ponies and puppies and people in his class to laugh laugh laugh. He brushed his fading mane back as he trotted towards the front of the stage. Figured he might practice before the students arrived.

"Howdy there folks! We got a great show for ya today but first let me ask you something! Are you ready to LAUGH!?"

[Yosuke]

Yosuke was the first one to enter the class. So far, all of his classes had been taught by animals. He was getting used to it, after all it was much better than dealing with Ms. Kashiwagi and King Moron. This class, was one that he was curious to find had been placed on his schedule. He always thought he had been good at making people laugh but now. Now maybe he would be able to learn from a master. For awhile, the brown haired human stood in the back listening to the older stallion.

He was about to continue but Ponyacci saw the youth enter the theatre. So he stopped and offered a warm smile to the human lad, waving him up on stage. "Don't be shy, son, come on in! Come on in!" As he saw the boy enter he swelled with pride. Even if he couldn't help his students survive in the death arena he could help them by healing their wounds with laughter. He would make them cheer their fellow students up when they came back bloodied and broken.

"What's your name?" He inquired, "And are you ready to laugh?"

[Yosuke]

"I'm Yosuke Hanamura sir." he said with a big smile. This class actually seemed like fun. Though he was surprised that no one else seemed to be taking it. Maybe they thought it would be pointless. But not him. He enjoyed making people smile so this seemed like a good chance to do so. "I am sir. I could use all the laughs I can get."

In truth, he thought most of the water circle members were too serious besides Sweetie Bell and Anna. Maybe this class could get them to lighten up a bit. Hopefully, it wouldn't turn out like Teddie's jokes though.
