Brief History: When Rita was born, she was taken in by a human and raised for a period of time. When she grew older, though, her independence earned her a spot in an animal shelter when her owner couldn't take the independence anymore. This happened time and time again until one night, Rita met a dog named Runt. At the time she thought he was a cat, and because they couldn't see what the other looked like she conversed with him. After she figured out how to get out of her cage, she opted to free him and discovered he was, in fact, a dog. Ultimately Runt did rescue her (thinking she was a dog) and they escaped from the shelter. They ended up becoming traveling companions in their search for a new home. One day, though, Rita obtained a strange letter. It was asking her to teach at a school alongside another dog. Although a bit uncertain of working with a dog, Rita did like the idea of being a vocals teacher. So, after making sure Runt was asleep still, Rita left him and went to teach at the academy.
