[September 3-Dark Magic Class-Open to anyone who's interested.]
The classroom he'd been provided with had been more than adequate, once he'd added some personal touches. Dark crystals ran from floor to ceiling in the corners, and a sickly green light shone weakly from the chandelier in the center of the room. And, right now, the entire classroom was filled with King Sombra. Black smoke flowed from a towering column at the back of the classroom that swirled, and rotated. His defeat, shortly following the return of his physical body, had left him able to turn into a creature of pure shadow at will. And, as per his usual behavior, he had taken to the shadows to await his students.
He couldn't help but feel doubts about his prospective students. Unlike most unicorn magic, the dark arts he had mastered weren't easy to control, let alone master. And in the end, his mastery hadn't proven to be enough when he was reduced to a shadowy reflection of himself at full strength. But he had taken the entire Crystal Empire with him when he was cast down. Not even both Princesses had been able to undo his curse in time.
But he would see.

Trixie was the first one in the classroom. She didn't bother to not strut her stuff to show off in the room. The class had seemed interesting, anything to get ahead of Twilight Sparkle. That unicorn from Ponyville made a fool of her. So, she didn't defeat the Ursa Minor. It had been a little white lie to make her more popular, others did it all the time. As she entered the class, she noticed that there was no teacher, no students either. How odd, Did no one want to learn dark magic?
'Maybe they are just scared that the Great and Powerful Trixie will outclass them.' she thought. Her ears twitched as she looked around.

Lydia slowly pushed in after Trixie. A dark magic class? The borderline goth girl had jumped at the chance to take something like that! So there she was, in a uniform reminding her of her own private school uniform, pushing into a seemingly empty classroom. Her eyes widened as she spotted the pony in front of her, lips parted as she stared at her.
"No way," she said, "Hi. Are you the professor? My name's Lydia. This is way cool. I don't know that much dark magic but...oh...uh sorry, what's your name?"

Trixie blinked and turned her attention to the two legged creature, what were they called "humans?" yes that was it. Humans. What an interesting creature. And she wanted to know about her! How wonderful. Turning her cape, allowing sparkles to fall she smiled. "I am THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE!" she said, cheerfully. "One of the most magical unicorns in all of Equestria!"
If the teacher was going to come in soon, Trixie didn't care. She was having fun, especially since that goody-goody twilight sparkle was not in this class. "I am not the professor. But you have pleased me Lydia, Trixie shall deem you worthy of being her friend!"

Two students? A mere two students? Was there no ambition, no magical aspirations at all in this place? No matter. Fewer students might not be so bad a thing, after all. Well, it was time to begin. The column of smoke flowed forward towards the front of the classroom, then hardened, shrinking into a physical body, leaving King Sombra standing, facing his two students, flowing tendrils of purple seeping from the corners of bright, green eyes.
"Lydia. Trixie," he grated, deep, guttural voice filling the room. "So, out of all the students here, only the two of you believe you have what it takes to master the dark magics as I have. We shall see," he said, lips drawing back to reveal his fangs as he gazed at the two students. "I am King Sombra. I shall instruct the two of you, but, ultimately, whether you succeed or fail, will depend on you."
"Now, what do you know of dark magic?"

There was one other student who was interested in the magic. But that was because to Wilbell, the girl wanted to know all magic. Dark or light. You needed to know all magic in order to be a good witch. Coming into the room, the girl noted the only other two students, a unicorn and another girl, who well could be a witch if she wanted to be. "Sorry I'm late. I got lost.' she replied.
--- Trixie took a bow and smiled. Finally a unicorn who had the aura of power. Just what trixie wanted. As for what she knew of dark magic, it wasn't that hard. "I believe that dark magic is really reflected on your emotions, if you can control your hate or anger than your dark magic can be even more powerful."

Lydia was about to make an audible noise to signal her utter shock in the teacher but his speaking made her shut her lips tightly. She gritted her teeth, a nervous quiver in her eyes. Sitting at her desk, she bowed her head in a nod. Despite her outward respectful and shocked expression, inside the female was bouncing and rolling. It was going to be so exciting. Learning dark magic. Perhaps magic she could use on those bullies at school, then she could be just as cool as Beetle-the thought cut off as she gripped her tie, thinking of her friend.
When he asked she raised her hand. "My friend practices kind of a dark magic!" She said, "Like he can change himself into things and turn other people into stuff. But I can only summon him and teleport myself to his world, y'know?" She sat back in her chair proudly.
