[ooc: September 9th, open only to Sunset and Vanellope for now. At the last post before the thread ends or whenever angel can come in]
Sunset was still hyped about the fights. The boy with the green hair, Sync had managed to bring respect to the fire circle. She had watched the fight, and was pleased with the result. She couldn't help but wonder who she would be going against. She hoped that her opponent would go down easy and she could do just what the green haired boy did to the little earth circle girl. So far, the popular queen hadn't found anyone to be mean to and was getting bored. People needed to fear her. But just who could she torment?

Well, fights aside, Vanellope figured she'd caught onto a pretty good thing by coming here.
The black-haired girl fiddled with the knot of her green tie slightly - making sure it was nice and... well, as comfortable as it was even possible for the thing to be, anyway - as she stepped out into the quad and blinked in the sunlight. After the dimness of the Earth Circle dorms, the brightness was always a little dazzling, especially first thing in the morning, and Vanellope let her tie alone for a moment in order to rub at her hazel eyes instead.
Okay, there were drawbacks. She knew Taffyta was here still, after all. And a lot of her classes were pains in the butt. Not to mention the uniform... once again, Vanellope had gritted her teeth and buttoned her collar when she dressed, not wanting to get into any more trouble for it than she had yesterday. It made the whole outfit a lot more uncomfortable, but she supposed it beat getting too far into trouble. After all, they might put her in the fights if she got into trouble, and that was something Vanellope figured she'd very much like to avoid.
But on the plus side, she'd made an inseparable friend in Angel that was enough to eclipse every other negative thing about being here; and she had her fun banter with that one janitor to look forward to. Vanellope was already planning to seek Ralph out and bug him some more come break time. It was simply too fun not to.
Given the strength of friendship between Vanellope and Angel, it might have been surprising that the small dog wasn't at her side at present. However the glitched girl had sent Angel on ahead to save her a place at breakfast while she had hurriedly finished some homework that she'd managed to leave far too late; she'd hastily scrawled down what she hoped was a decent answer before throwing her uniform on, stuffing what she needed for the day into her candy-wrapper backpack, and scurrying out after her friend. It was only her emergance into the sunlight that had slowed Vanellope's frantic rush - dashing headlong into someone because her eyes were still adjusting really wouldn't make for a great impression.
It was just too bad that she still hadn't slowed enough.
Vanellope hit a pair of long legs. Her body gave a little glitch as she fell backwards, landing on her rear; and once she was able to see clearly again, the small girl looked up to see a firey-haired teenager standing over her. There was something dangerous about the older girl, even Vanellope could tell; something that suggested that a simple apology wasn't going to suffice here. Swallowing nervously, the little glitch began to inch backwards, hoping the other girl would simply let her go.
Of course, that was far too much to hope for.

Sunset felt someone hit her legs, and turned and glanced down. A little girl, with...candy in her hair? What a weird thing to have. But it didn't seem to bother her that much after all some of the girls in Canterlot High had some strange things in their hair. While, Sunset was almost in the mood to let the girl go, it didn't last. The girl had found just found herself to be her latest victim.
"And just what do you think you are doing?" she asked crossing her arms. "Not even a simple sorry, how pathetic."

...so much for that.
"'Kay, sorry, alright?" Vanellope had a distinct feeling that a simple apology wasn't going to make it alright, not at all, but she also had an idea that to refuse this girl what she wanted would be a particularly bad idea. Sunset was someone dangerous, Vanellope could tell already - much more so, even, than Taffyta and the others - and, unlike Ralph the janitor, not someone she wanted to mess with; even as the glitched girl scrambled back to her feet and began to brush down her uniform, she backed away from the red-and-gold-haired girl. Any illusion that Sunset was going to just let her go peacefully had dissipated about the time the girl, who had to be almost twice her age, had addressed her directly; but Vanellope figured - or at least hoped - that if she could put a little distance between the two of them, she could simply make a run for it. Not the most thought-out strategy; but it wasn't as though she had the time to plan anything fancy.
"I'm just gonna... be goin' now, okay? I got a friend waiting for me..."

Sunset gave her a low stare and smirked. "A friend?" Like that was something believable. The girl flipped her hair over her shoulder and walked around the girl looking her over. The blue eyes scaled the uniform and her smirk turned into a rather dark scowl. She wasn't in the fire circle, she was just in another pathetic house that would never be as good as her own. "I didn't think your house could make friends. Based on what I've seen, they are just as pathetic as you are."

"Yeah, well, guess people like me just stick together." Vanellope made to stuff her hands in her pockets, remembered belatedly that she wasn't wearing her hoodie, and just crossed them over her chest instead. The girl bristled at being called pathetic, a shudder of blue code running the length of her form as she did, but a lifetime of the same had taught her better than to argue the point - if not better than to speak up at all.
"So what makes your circle so much greater, anyway?" she fiddled with the green of her tie knot, feeling the point of her collar-tip brush the back of her fingers for a moment, as she eyed up Sunset's own uniform. Fire circle red; she supposed that figured, given that the older girl's attitude seemed as fiery as her hair. Hadn't that been the one greenie - Sync, hadn't his name had been - was in too? Vanellope had actually kind of liked that guy; she could tell, however, that she wasn't going to be harbouring any such feelings towards Sunset anytime soon.
"Look, I'm not botherin' you, and that was an accident." She held both hands up defensively. "How about you just let me go now, hey?"
It was worth a shot, at least; even though she had no real illusions that the bigger girl would let her leave at all. She could see the look in Sunset's eye well enough, the same kind of look that Taffyta got just before she did something really mean, and Vanellope had a horrible feeling she was just about to find out what the othergirl had in mind.
(ooc: Sunset, if you want to, feel free to hurt Vanellope physically as well. No hurry, just as and when it seems appropriate; grab her or shove her or hit her or anything like that. Let's crush her both physically and emotionally here, okay? ^^)

Sunset laughed at the girl, it was cute that this girl seemed to be trying to stand up for herself. "Yeah, people like you. Cute." she muttered before glaring at the girl. "You don't seem to understand, my house is the strongest of the ones here. Did you not see the fights?" her eyes flashed with malice. So, maybe the girl would be able watch the fights but something told her that the young candy-haired girl wouldn't want to watch it. "No I suppose you didn't. You probably were just sitting in your room afraid."
And then the girl had the audacity to say that bumping into her was an accident. Oh no. That wasn't going to cut it. "Oh, let you go huh? That's cute." Sunset started to circle her. "I think you need a lesson in understanding just who you are messing with." with that Sunset shoved her. Hard.

"Hey, come on, I said s- ah!" Vanellope's protest was cut off as she was abruptly shoved straight off her feet. She glitched, startled by the shove, and as the ground rushed up to meet her, Vanellope threw out her hands and managed to succeed in grazing both her palms on the concrete - which beat slamming into it face-first, but still stung like crazy. The girl gave a little yelp at the flash of pain, and another slight spasm of glitching siezed her; when it subsided, she rolled onto her back and raised her skinned palms to where she could see them.
Blood. The impact had drawn blood. Not a vast amount, but still... Vanellope tried to wipe some of it off on the folds of her white shirt, winced as the fabric only stung the grazes further, and gave up on that. As she lay there, still on her back, she scowled up at Sunset.
"Oh yeah, real big, pickin' on the girl who's only half your age." It was possible that taunting the other girl would be a mistake Vanellope would live to regret; right now, however, her smarting hands were demanding she say something, and without the safety of a candy tree to make her observation from, the glitched girl figured her current spot on the ground was her next best bet. It was probably way too much to hope that Sunset wouldn't kick her while she was already down, though.
She knew why she was being treated like this, of course. She was far too used to this sort of treatment to not know. Vanellope had been sure it was only a matter of time before someone here took exception to her being a glitch; evidently, she'd been unlucky enough to run straight into that someone. The run of good fortune that meeting Angel had been had been far, far to good to last, she should have known that.
In a way, she was almost glad Angel wasn't around to witness this. Bad enough that she took a pounding; she didn't want her friend to suffer one on her behalf as well.

Sunset smirked. "Welcome to the real world." she looked at the girl and watched her...what was she doing? What was that weird movement she had just had. "Freak." the girl muttered under her breath. "Let me give you a little lesson about the real world kid. The strong will always take down the weak, and you are weak. You won't last five minutes in this world, it doesn't matter how old you are, it wouldn't matter in nature. You would die and you will die if you aren't smart enough to keep your trap shut."
Was she being harsh? Maybe, but she didn't care. It was just a good thing to pick on someone. Like picking on those kids in Canterlot high, Sweetie Belle, Applebloom and...Scootaloo? Yes, that one.

Well, she wasn't physically kicking her. That was a good start, Vanellope supposed as she dared to sit up rather than remaining slumped on the ground. She was aware there was still plenty of time for this to get a lot worse for her... Sunset didn't look like she had any intention of letting up on her anytime soon. But on the plus side, Vanellope supposed, there at least was no taffy swamp or anything here for her to be shoved into, not like back home. While taking a few bruises wasn't going to be pleasant, showing up to class coated head-to-toe in green goo would have been a whole lot more humiliating.
"Yeah, well, news flash, this isn't your 'nature', it's just a school. What's the worst you're gonna do, pull my tie or somethin'? Or just keep pushin' me over?" Vanellope was practically asking for trouble at this point; but she wasn't even certain she cared now. Sunset was going to be a butt to her either way, right? Even if Vanellope kept her mouth shut - which wasn't something the girl was much good at - she still wasn't going to get out of this unscathed. And as for dying? The glitched female figured Sunset was being metaphorical or something. The red-and-gold haired girl might have been older and bigger than her, but she was still just another girl. If they faced each other in the arena, it might be a different matter, but here - while she had it in her power to make Vanellope's life miserable, beyond that, what was really the worst she could do?
Perhaps unwisely, since she could just be shoved down again, Vanellope decided to risk standing up. After all, on the ground, she could only take whatever Sunset dished out; on her feet, she actually had some small chance of escape. The fire circle girl couldn't hurt what she couldn't catch, after all; and the little glitch knew she was nimble and light on her feet. She backed up a couple of steps, her hazel eyes measuring up Sunset, trying to guage the moment she stood the most chance of making a break for it.

Sunset couldn't help but laugh. "First of all shorty, the world of nature is everywhere. School is just a much more different way of looking at it. The popular will always be the ones on top and losers like you, well..they will always be at the bottom ready to die in misery." she smirked. "I wouldn't expect you to understand considering I doubt you actually are even on the social ladder of the world."
And then the girl did something foolish, asked for more trouble. Sunset had to think of what the worse she could do, so what the queen bee did do was grab the girl's ponytail and yank it, harder than she shoved.

Vanellope's eyes darted down to the ground for a moment. It wasn't that Sunset's words had hurt her, as such, but the comment about her probably not even being on the social ladder of the world was an uncomfortable reminder that back in Sugar Rush, she definitely wasn't. In the absence of her hoodie drawstrings, Vanellope tugged at the tip of her collar for a moment. Though she didn't really believe that the same thing was true here, especially not after the way Angel had been quik to reassure her, the words still struck an uncomfortable chord in the glitched girl. It was because of this that she was taken by complete surprise when Sunset went for her again.
Okay, even if she'd been more or less asking for it, that hurt! Vanellope gave a yelp of pain as her ponytail became Sunset's next target; it was yanked hard enough that Vanellope knew she felt at least a few hairs part company with her scalp, and was pulled clean off her feet yet again. This time, she hit the ground on her rear, sending a shot of pain through her butt, and she glitched again.
"Okay, I got the message, you're a jerk." Wincing as she tried to shift position on her bruised backside, Vanellope reached up to try and pry the older girl's hands out of her ponytail before it could get pulled on again. Why she was even still trying to be defiant, Vanellope wasn't sure. Back home when Taffyta and the others picked on her, Vanellope's boldness was conspicuously lacking; perhaps it was just because, for all her words, Sunset hadn't gone the usual route of reminding Vanellope that she was a freak and a mistake; or perhaps Angel's belief that she was worth something had given the girl's confidence a boost. Vanellope didn't have a clue.
Even if she was going to regret it soon enough, better to at least get some retort in than just lie down and take the beating - which she was sure Sunset would have dished out either way - without resisting at all, right?
(ooc: Aaaaah Vanellope baby, I'm sorry D8 But you're just far too fun to get beaten up, even though I hate it happening to you.)

"Oh, i don't think you do get it." Sunset replied, releasing Vanellope's hair from her grip. "See, here's the thing girl. You don't mess with me, ever. If you do its your funeral. Try it again and I guaruntee that the next time it happens you will end up with more than just bruises, and a few missing hairs." she said, her glare much more vicious than it was probably meant to be. But that didn't matter, it was how she spent her life. Luckily no one else was in the quad either.
If there had been, then she probably would have played innocent (if it had been a teacher that is)

Wait... she was being let go? Vanellope looked as though she couldn't quite comprehend that; nonetheless, she wasted no time in scooting back a few steps on her rear. When that caused no immediate reaction, the child quickly scrambled back to her feet for the third time. Maybe with a little luck, she wouldn't need to end up getting closely aquainted with the pavement yet again this morning.
Vanellope forced herself to resist the temptation to point out that she hadn't exactly messed with the older girl this time either, but had simply walked into her by mistake. As mouthy as the glitch could be when she felt like it, she certainly wasn't stupid; and if Sunset was letting her off with little more than bloody palms, a bruised butt and stinging scalp, then she had no intention of giving the fire circle member any reason to decide otherwise. Compared to what the other kids at home liked to dish out, she was getting off fairly lightly; in truth, Vanellope had been expecting to be in a lot worse state by the time Sunset was done with her, so she really should do the smart thing and get away before the adolescent girl changed her mind.
"Well, if that's all, then... see ya!" That wouldn't be enough grounds for Sunset to get on her case again, Vanellope was sure; nonetheless, the smaller girl huriedly turned on her heel and made to sprint away as fast as her short legs would carry her. There was always a chance Sunset might have more in mind for her; and Vanellope very much wanted to make her escape before discovering what that was.

Sunset watched the girl start to run before snickering. "Weak freak." she muttered. It wasn't as if the fire-haired girl was showing mercy, the little girl had just gotten bored with her. What could she do without an audience? That's what she did at Canterlot high. If there had been others around then the cyan eyed girl would have gladly given her more than just a push, and a pull on the hair.
