"I’m not JUST a princess; that’s only half of who I am!"
Kiara
Circle: Air
Age: 11, in human terms
Skills: Claws; some moderate fighting prowess
Weaknesses: Kiara is ruled primarily by a desire to have fun; because of this, she doesn’t pay as much attention as she should in the relevant classes so her fighting skills aren’t all they could be.
Friends: Kovu
Family: Simba and Nala (parents),Vitani (estranged sister who she doesn’t remember)
Enemies: Zira
Brief History: Raised and overprotected in her early years by King Simba and Queen Nala, life as a princess wasn’t something Kiara particularly enjoyed. As a young cub, she just wanted to have fun, and it was this desire that prompted her to slip her babysitters’ watchful – or not so when there were plenty of grubs around – eyes, where she stumbled across Kovu. Once the two got over their initial clash of personalities – and escaped a pack of hungry crocodiles into the bargain – the young princess began to warm up to the Outlander; until their friendship was rudely interrupted by the arrival of their angry parents. Kiara was taken home in disgrace.
As months past, Kiara made numerous attempts to sneak out and see Kovu again; all to no avail, though this hardly stopped her from trying until the day a letter arrived offering her a position at a prestigious academy. Though reluctant to let her out of his sight, Simba acknowledged that letting Kiara mix with other animals her own age might put a stop to her incessant attempts to see Kovu; little realising that by letting her go he was putting her life in just as much danger as the Outlands would.
