Brief History: Born the son of the medicine cat Leafpool and the WindClan cat Crowfeather, Jayfeather was led to believe that he was the son of Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw. His brother and sister, Lionblaze and Hollyleaf, were led to believe the same thing. He longed to be a warrior when he was small, but due to his blindness he was hindered greatly in becoming one. It was learned later on that he was meant to be a medicine cat, and so he and Hollyleaf, who thought she wanted to become a medicine cat herself, swapped places and went on their respective paths. Later in his life, Jayfeather discovered that he had the ability to walk in the dreams of other cats. He and his siblings learned that they were the cats who held the power of the stars in their paws and would prevent the destruction of the Clans. He eventually went on to become the next medicine cat of ThunderClan after training with Leafpool for several moons, but it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. He and his siblings helped to prevent the destruction of ShadowClan when the cats within stopped believing in StarClan. Later on, though, Ashfur tried to have Jayfeather and his siblings killed to hurt Squirrelflight for betraying him. That was when they learned that they were not Squirrelflight's children, but instead Leafpool's.
Hollyleaf revealed their secret at a gathering not long after killing Ashfur, and Jayfeather believed his sister to be dead after she disappeared in a tunnel that had collapsed. He and Lionblaze learned that Hollyleaf wasn't the third cat of the prophecy, though, and that Dovewing (then Dovepaw) was. Trouble continued to plague the clans and eventually Hollyleaf returned, much to Jayfeather's amazement. Before much else could happen after Hollyleaf's return, Jayfeather was plagued by a strange dream. In the dream he saw injured animals and heard StarClan asking for his help. When he awoke, there was a strange message for him. It was inviting him some place he had never heard of. Although it was a bad thing for a medicine cat to leave his clan, Jayfeather reluctantly put his trust in Leafpool once more and left her to attend to medicine cat duties in his absence. Soon after, Jayfeather headed for Dante's Academy... Where he learned he would need to work alongside the twolegs.
