"At least I'm actually making a difference now."
Jamie
Class Taught: Beginner's Elemental Powers (so, a catch-all for magic/special powers XD)
Age: 27
Skills: Speed, pyrokinesis (control of fire), book smart
Weaknesses: Can't swim, adverse to cold, a bit of a downer, "I'm not good enough" mentality
Friends: Open to RP (and OCs you don't care about)
Family: Jim (father), Jasmine (mother), Joey (brother), June (foster child)
Enemies: Open to RP
Brief History:
Jamie is a cheetah who has always wanted to make a difference in the world. She was a young girl interested in science, but her traditional parents were more discouraging of her hobbies than they were supportive. They did not intend to disregard her interests; they simply thought it was more becoming of her to take part in more traditional activities, such as being interested in clothing or becoming a banker, like her father. When the time came for her to go off to college, she finally felt free to choose her own path. However, her parents refused to support her financially when she choose Biology as her major. Jamie worked hard in college and took part in an internship at "JPV Industries" which, as she'd later find, was a ruse created by the super villain Dr. Vulture to create a super powerful magic user, who happened to be based on some of Jamie's skin cells. Thus spawned her "brother" Joey, but for the sake of making this brief, he is of little importance to her current situation. Jamie graduated with flying colors. She moved to Sapphire City, intending to make a name for herself, however, a much more successful "boy genius" soon established himself as the area's "superstar scientist". Jamie fell into obscurity before she even had a chance to shine. Feeling defeated by the sheer genius of her rival, she took two day jobs to pay off her college loan. Jamie also took in a foster child, June, a tabby cat, whom she grew very close to.
Jamie was surprised to find that she was invited to teach at a school she's never heard of. Pulled somewhat out of her depression by this, Jamie decided she would try to make a difference with the youth. She chose to teach future students how to get a better grasp on whatever special power they may have. Jamie herself was a mediocre fire elemental, but she was too scarred by her failure to achieve her dream to think to get anywhere near her true passion; science.
