((Sept 2nd. Open to any magic/elemental power users taking Jamie's class. As a note, this is a "beginner's" class. Takes place a bit before class begins. Yeah, I'm making threads early in the timeline, wut?))
No, the anthropomorphic cheetah wasn't the most skilled at her special power. In fact, she rarely found herself using it in every day life. Unless, of course, she had to light a candle for some reason. Every now and then she'd be tangled up with some super villain and was required to make use of her control of fire, but Jamie wasn't a fighter at all. Her particular class was more of a self discovery adventure than actual training. Jamie wasn't really the best teacher for such a course but she was too frightened of her dreams becoming shattered again to step near science soon. But, whether she liked it or not, her knowledge would come into practice. If these students were going to have to fight each other, someone needed to give them an upper hand. Discovering your strengths and weaknesses would do wonders on the battlefield. Jamie hoped she'd be able to help them to avoid being killed. And, maybe, save them from becoming killers themselves if she could preach mercy strongly enough. Special gifts weren't meant to be used like this. Sure, Jamie was to teach a beginner's class, but responsible use of one's powers should be universal. Though, in her heart, the cheetah knew that wasn't so and there would always be abuse of power. She could at least try.
Jamie was currently sitting at her desk. Upon the whiteboard she had, of course, written her name. Along with that, she'd written a few questions that the students would answer as to get to know each-other better. Included on the board were things such as; what is your name? What is your special power? What makes you stronger? What makes you weaker? What do you hope to learn? And so on. The pink feline had also decided to add a bit of atmosphere to the classroom; the lights were off and the windows were blinded. The room was lit with a number of candles. A stereo hidden somewhere was playing soft panpipe music and rhythmic chanting. Jamie, according to her research, thought surroundings would be calming, but they could have easily have been more creepy.

The door of the classroom creak slowly open, and a head full of bright blonde hair and light purple eyes peeked through the door frame into the classroom. Yang usually wasn't so early to class, but without her little sister or the rest of her team around... she was lonely... and at this point being to class early was preferable to simply biding her time all alone. She saw the cheetah in the room and she grinned, shutting the door gently. "Good morning, miss!" she chirped, striding over to an empty desk, and flopping down into it with a clang as her gauntlets hit the table. She wasn't quite used to seeing a full animal walking upright, it looked to her like a super-faunus, but she supposed among all the other weird beings in this school, this teacher was the least of her worries. So far there wasn't any Grimm trying to attack her, no mention of them at all, actually... she supposed, though, that that was probably for the best. She read the questions on the board, ruminating and biting her lip over her answers, though they were a bit hard to read in the light. Seemed simple enough... this was a beginner's course though. As much as the blonde girl thought she was advanced beyond this point, the school didn't offer any advanced version of this class, so she took what she got. The atmosphere was... a touch unnerving, but she smiled anyway. "Nice candles," she remarked. "Is this sorta like, helping us find our chi or something?"

This was a bad idea. This was a very, very bad idea. In fact, the fact that Elsa was even attending this class was going to throw a wrench in everything her father had been trying to help her with. What would be the point of concealing her magic if she was taking a class that was doing the exact opposite?
It wasn't as if Elsa could go back to hiding in her room, though. Here, there were other students who probably would notice her absence. They would come looking for her and inquire as to why she hadn't been present in class. As much as it hurt to even think about attending this class and destroy everything she had worked at with her father's advice, Elsa had to attend. She had to at least give the class a try didn't she? It made sense. If things went awry, though, she would bail out as quickly as possible. It would only give her fellow students more of a reason to wonder about her, though, so she had best proceed with caution. The less she showed, the better.
It was with great nervousness that Elsa finally made her way into the classroom. Gloves were off, surprisingly, and tucked carefully into her book bag. The pastel colored gloves were still visible for all to see. This was just in case something went horribly wrong and she had to make a run for it. Elsa wasn't about to go anywhere with those gloves nearby. No, sir.
"I... Is this the... The elemental magic class...?"
Elsa had no idea why she was being so nervous. ...Okay, that wasn't true. She had every reason to be nervous, but the other students and their teacher didn't know that. They didn't know that her magic had yet to find a controlled element to it. All she could do was hope and pray that things didn't go seriously wrong.

Now this was a class that Natsu could get into. Sure it wasn't combat like he wanted. But hey, elemental could be something that he needed. After all, he did know how to use fire, and a class like this could give him an upper-hand on Gray or any other wizard that was here. The pink haired wizard came in looking rather pleased that this class was around. He was going to be the top wizard here. That much was to be said.
Glancing around, the boy caught sight of two other students. A girl from the water circle who was..wearing gloves? Now that was odd, and another student from his circle...Yang. Yes that was her name. The only thing that disappointed him at the moment was the fact that Gray or someone else was not with him, then he could try to hold a friendly competiton in the class not to mention this was beginner's class. He already knew a lot about fire magic but there were no other classes that could help him with it.
There was the dark class but the fairy tail wizard was not about to use his powers for evil purposes, unlike some of the other members of his circle

The uniform was something Magus was having trouble with but he was going to put up with it. He was doing this for everyone back at Castle Wyvern, this was all for a good cause. So he would do what was needed, attend these classes. Even with the Grimorum his magic was limited, only being able to use the magic with the aid of the book. Arriving at the class room it must've been odd to see a thin young man holding such a large and thick book as the Grimorum was. His gaze went over the class room to see the different people taking the classes though he was surprised at what he saw. It seemed the teacher was taking something of a old stlye way of teaching which Magus could understand but what really surprised him was what the teacher looked like. Even with the Gargoyles protecting the Castle every night, Magus wasn't used to non-human beings though he would have to push that aside.
Just remember why you're here, it's to learn so you can properly serve Castle Wyvern. Magus thought.
There were three other students here though Magus stayed silent as he walked away from the door and took a seat at one of the desks. Placing the large and heavy book down. Everyone had a different way to use magic. While the Archmage had his staff, he still required the Grimorum. Who knows what everyone in this room could do.

Jamie had been aligning a stack of blank papers (which isn't so easy with short "thumbs") when she noticed the door opening. Her ears moved slightly toward the sound, but she hardly took her eyes from her papers. Said papers were for herself only - she would be taking notes on them. Jamie knew the rules of special powers from her own world very well, but it didn't take her long upon arrival to find that these did not apply to everything. The teacher would need to learn too. There would be live magic, flames, energy, and so on in her classroom. If a student got hurt (by accident surely), Jamie would be the one held liable. Henceforth, she needed to learn as much about her student's abilities as they did. But the feline pried her attention away from the featureless papers and addressed the blonde young lady with a slow blink. After placing a pen over her papers, Jamie stood from her desk.
Answering Yang's question about chi, Jamie said, "You can think of it like that. I felt the surroundings would be appropriate - they work for a couple friends of mine."
The cheetah's yellow eyes came to the door as student number two entered. Her eyebrows furrowed, noticing immediately that this young woman was not nearly as comfortable as the first. That rose some red flags. Jamie could not tell why Elsa was upset, but it could never be anything good. However, she was not going to single the fair-haired human out.
Once more, Jamie found herself addressed a question, and promptly answered Elsa, "Yes, it is. You may take a seat."
Jamie attempted to sound comforting, but her voice was often so drained it could have easily came off as curt. Turning, she did not speak to the two young men, as she was not spoken to, but did greet them with a slow nod. She clipped a stack of her note paper on a clipboard and clicked her pen. It was time for class to begin. Jamie didn't know if any other students would be arriving, but they would have to catch up if they did. After moving her clipboard under her left arm, she picked up a wooden pointer stick from the board. Jamie placed the tip of a claw at the bottom of the pointer and whipped her claw down the its length. As the end of her claw flew down the wooden pointer, became alight with whips of orange. Almost as if she'd stuck a match using her finger, the tip of the pointer began to blaze. The paw she lit the stick with briefly fluttered as it was covered with fire, however it remained unharmed. Jamie held the now-blazing pointer toward the board, helping to illuminate what was written upon it. Lighting something on fire wasn't really necessary, but there was no harm in showing you were at least somewhat qualified to teach elemental magic.
"Let's start off by answering the first question on the board and introduce ourselves," she said, highlighting the first question that inquired about names, "My name is Jamie Pooaur. You can call me Jamie - please."
