[ooc: Date is September 12th, takes place around early evening. Open only to Sven and Daring Do]
The library was relatively empty, then again it was very early evening, the pegasus was aware that most of the students were probably getting ready for bed or off doing homework, it didn't make it any less weird. This whole school was so huge that the pegasus didn't really have a chance to explore any of it unless she was alone, and now maybe she could finally see just what was going on with it.
The library seemed like the perfect place to do the research she needed. Maybe she would be able to find out just when the school was built, and the history behind it. The problem was that there were so many books that Daring Do wasn't sure where to start.
"There has to be something here about this school." she thought out loud as her scarlet eyes scanned the shelves from top to bottom

"No... No, this doesn't have what I need either. Oh well! I guess I'll just have to keep looking."
Sven had had his nose in a book, once again trying to research about possible locations of his treasure, and so far had come up with nothing in the particular text he'd picked up. What had he really been expecting, though? The language he needed to refresh himself on wasn't exactly a common tongue. So, he shrugged and closed the book. Where else could he possibly look? The bespectacled man rose from where he had been sitting and started to walk around the library once more. This was a place he actually liked being. He enjoyed teaching his students, of course, but being able to potentially get further with researching and locating the Everlight was something that Sven was quite pleased about. The problem was actually finding books that helped in that endeavor.
Upon hearing another voice, Sven looked up and saw Daring Do. Lo and behold, he was looking at a pegasus! No such creatures had existed on the Legacy or the mainland as far as he'd known. It was almost kind of funny... He lived in a realm where creatures such as Gaets and Galfs existed but not pegasi or unicorns. This certainly was an interesting development. It also seemed as though Daring was looking for something. Curiosity beckoned Sven forward, and soon the young man was approaching her.
"Excuse me," he said at last. "What are you looking for?"

The pegasus turned her gaze to the speaker. A human, a rather tall and glasses wearing human, it should have been no surprise to her. After all, she was teaching humans the class after all, but it was still a bit off-putting to have them talk to her. It could have been due to the fact she had never gotten to know them or the fact that they were well..walking on two legs and not fellow equestrian horses like she was.
"I was hoping to find a book about this school." she said, shaking her mane a bit in disgust that there was no book to be found. "I am hoping to find out what the history of it is. But so far I have come across nothing to aid my search."
Maybe that was the point, maybe whoever was in charge wanted no such book to be read or even be in the library.

"Ah, so you're a fellow seeker of knowledge. Seeking the truth, right?" Sven asked. He smiled at that thought. This pony may have been a good friend if she actually trusted him. Sven wasn't about to assume that much, though. The ponies in the school could have been opposed to hanging out with humans such as him. That much was something he understood well enough. After all, they were animals. They probably hadn't dealt with humans all that often before coming to the school. Regardless, Sven was going to put his best foot forward and try to get to know Daring. She was a fellow teacher and pursuer of knowledge. That alone was enough to endear her to him.
"Maybe I could help. I'm looking for something myself, so... Two heads are better than one!" he said cheerfully. Maybe... Would Daring Do know anything about the Everlight? He wasn't entirely sure if that would be the case, but at the very least Sven could tell her about his dream of finding it. Proving every other researcher wrong and discovering the supposedly mythical treasure of the Legacy would have been great. First, though, he needed to know Daring's name.
"...Ah, right. I haven't introduced myself yet, have I? I'm Sven!"

Daring Do raised an eyebrow. She wasn't like most of the ponies who wouldn't trust humans. But, trust was still something she needed to get used to. Most people she trusted would turn on her in the end. How did she know that this human would not do the same. It wasn't the time to be thinking about that at the moment though, she needed the help. And he did have a point. Two heads were better than one.
"Ah, yes. I am a seeker of knowledge, and a treasure hunter." she replied tipping her hat. "I'm Daring Do." Her gaze returned to the shelves. "I could use the help. Thank you."

"I'm a treasure hunter myself. Truth is, I've been looking for a really special treasure for quite some time," Sven said as he started to thumb through books near where he and Daring Do were standing. Maybe this would pique Daring's interest, and maybe it wouldn't. Sven wasn't the type that was going to start... Okay, maybe he would start rambling about how special the Everlight was and how much he wanted to find it. That wasn't entirely important, though. The bespectacled man wanted to help his potential friend out, and to do so he would need to help her find a book that had information about the school within it. So far, though, he wasn't finding much of anything. Just book after book that appeared to have very little inside it.
"I thought maybe I could advance my search a bit if I came here. Teaching is a bit of a side thing at the moment," he chuckled. He really must have seemed like a teacher who didn't take his job all that seriously. That was how things had been back home, too. That really was how he had been expelled before. Well, that and the fact that he refused to give up on the Everlight. So many people thought he was beyond stupid it was almost laughable.
"Let's see... How about this book here?" he asked after a moment. The book had the school's name on it, but Sven didn't know what the contents were. Daring would have to determine that for herself.

Daring Do's eyes brows rose at the mention of him being a treasure hunter as well. "I did not know that humans were treasure hunters as well." she said, looking rather serious. "Then again, I only just started teaching humans. So I guess, anything is possible." Then he found a book with the schools' name on it. How did she not see that? Maybe she needed glasses.
The book looked rather old and did in fact have the school's name on it, taking it off the shelf was no big deal. Looking at t however would have to wait. She was interested in Sven's outlook and the treasure he was seeking. "Do you think this treasure you are seeking could be here?" she asked. After all, treasure was probably the only reason she had come here.
Teaching was something that just happened.

"I dunno," Sven admitted. The Everlight probably wasn't in the school, but he could hope that maybe it was. Maybe he'd get lucky. The chances of that happening were rather slim, though, and even Sven was willing to admit that much. Now that Daring had her book, though, perhaps they could sit at a table and begin to discuss things more. ...Or just keep standing and talking. Whatever worked. Sven needed to look over the bookshelves some more anyway. He turned his attention back to the shelf before him and started to thumb through books. So far, though, nothing was standing out.
"But I won't be able to face the truth of where the treasure is unless I research it more. It's called the Everlight," he said as he glanced at the books. None of them were standing out still, but eventually he settled on a book related to treasures and decided to take it. He doubted there would be much about what he was looking for, but what was the harm? He liked knowing what he could rule out.
"It's a treasure that can grant any wish. Supposedly, it's nothing more than a myth. That's why I want to prove to everyone back home that it exists."

The pegasus stared in shock, that was some treasure. Any wish? What could she do with such a power. What would Ahuizotl do with that? Probably misuse it and then sell it for profit. The idea made her feel unsettled. If that kind of power was here, then maybe the headmaster had it? Maybe that's how he could get students to fight each other.
"You seem quite dedicated on this Sven." The pegasus said calmly, deciding to open up the book that he had gotten from the shelf for her. The pegasus's eyes read the pages slowly, hoping to find anything that could help her. "How long have you been searching for this Everlight?" The history of the school was almost like any other. There were photos of it being constructed and afterwards.
Daring Do assumed that it was a regular school, so what had changed? Had someone else taken charge with enough power to do this. She had to keep looking, it was her only chance to find out something that could change everything.

"A few years now, actually. I even recruited one of my students from the academy I used to work at to help me. She's my apprentice," Sven stated with pride. Oh Norma... She may have thought he was the world's biggest idiot, but Sven believed she was just as dedicated to finding the Everlight as he was. Alas, he didn't have the assistance of the academy anymore. His master had expelled him personally, after all. Zarmaran just couldn't see... Wait, that was a poor choice of words. He just didn't have the faith in the idea of finding it that Sven and Norma did.
"The research has been the hardest part. There's a language connected to where the Everlight is supposed to be that I have to learn, and the process has been slow. ...Oh, here! Let me show you what I mean."
He went to where he had put his book bag and retrieved a ratty old notebook from within it. Then, he motioned for Daring to join him at a table and started to leaf through it. There were strange symbols all over the pages that formed a language too complex for most. Sven had been cracking at it for ages and ages, and even he couldn't claim that he was an expert at translating it completely. His translations were incomplete in places and it was clear he was still learning the meaning to a certain degree. In spite of that, Sven felt confident with all that he had accomplished. At the very least he could say that he was better at disarming traps that may have been in his way than Norma had been.
"It's called Relares. An ancient language of an ancient race we know today as the Ferenes. If I can crack the language, I find where the Everlight has been hidden. If I can find where the Everlight is hidden, I can finally have my wish granted. It's nothing too special, though... My wish, I mean. I just want to make up for something that happened to someone who once was interested in finding the Everlight too."

"Everlight. If i wasn't an explorer myself I would have thought you were making something up. But I have been through my share of ancient mysteries to know that nothing is a lie or nonexsistant." The pegasus said, joining him at the table. "I can imagine that there would be quite a few people who would want to get their hands on it if they ever found it."
What could a single person do with such a wish. No one would willingly use it like Sven and use it for someone else. They would most likely use it for their own selfish-gain. For money, power. Whatever the case. Some people were just born greedy.
"I do hope you find something to help you here. Otherwise you would have wasted a trip."
