[ooc: September 12th, open to Sync and Chihiro for now. However later if someone wants to jump in to stand up for Chihiro ask us first]
Chihiro had spent some of his time in the first morning class he had to ask the teacher some questions. Sure, it wasn't exactly necessary since all they had to do was read a chapter in their textbook, but the young boy wanted to get a good idea of if it would be okay to read ahead. It wasn't like he had to, Chihiro wanted to. Besides Derpy, the blonde shy boy didn't really want to get to know anyone else in his circle.
Oh he probably could have if he wasn't so shy, after all some of them were very nice. But something else bothered him about making friends right now. What if the person in charge wanted them to fight people in their own circle. What if that happened? No. He couldn't think like that.
Wanting to get a good start for the library, the boy took his books, hugging them close to his chest and ran down the hall. His laptop case was strapped across his shoulder and it hit his skirt as he ran.
Only fate wasn't very kind to Chihiro that day, as he soon found himself on the floor, rubbing his head. Books and laptop scattered around him. "S-sorry." he said to the person who he had run into. "A-are you okay?"

Sync's thoughts had been preoccupied by other things.
Not that he was getting a big head, or at least he didn't think he was, but he'd been looking forward to that week's set of fights. He wasn't in the next round, unfortunately, but he at least could watch the other students kick each others's asses. There was just something exhilarating about the idea that had him all fired up. The green-haired boy had been thinking about it ever since the night before, and he couldn't have been more eager to find out who was actually going to be participating. In fact, Sync was so caught up in that line of thought that he didn't even see who was coming down the hall from the opposite direction. His aim had been to head to the library, if only to check and make sure that the lists for the fights hadn't been posted yet, and then the next thing he knew someone was (rather unintentionally) shoving into him.
The next thing to happen was for Sync to be knocked to the ground, and when he was shaking his head and wondering what in the name of Yulia and Lorelei had happened he saw books, a laptop, and... A girl? The girl apparently was apologizing for bumping into him. Well, Sync wasn't going to take too kindly to being knocked over. Who did this kid think she was?
"Watch where you're going!" Sync snapped. He got to his feet and glared in Chihiro's direction. Only a glance was needed to tell Sync just what circle this girl was in. She was in the same circle as Arietta. Great; some earth circle kid thought it was a good idea to bump into him.
"What's the big idea, anyway?"

Chihiro scrambled to pick up his stuff still keeping eyes on Sync. It didn't take a genius to figure out who he was. He was a fire circle member of course but this must have been the one who beat up Arietta in the arena only a week ago. Great. Now Chihiro had made him mad. That was not a good sign. "I...I'm sorry." he said, trying not to look too frightened.
"I...I was in a hurry and wasn't looking where I was going." he said, trying to hide his fear with a smile. "Y-you aren't hurt are you?" It was a cowardly way not to look scared but if there was one thing that Chihiro didn't want, it was to make an enemy of this guy like Arietta had. He didn't want to end up like the earth girl and face him at some point. Arietta had magic and the blonde boy had technology.

"No, I'm not hurt," Sync replied. The curtness in his voice should have made it clear that he wasn't in a good mood, but even if it hadn't he still sent a scowl in Chihiro's general direction. This kid was already starting to work on his last nerve. Somehow, though, Sync was managing to avoid just outright punching Chihiro in the face. How long that last remained uncertain, but for the moment Chihiro seemed safe. The kid would just have to play his (her?) next move carefully if pain was to be avoided. Not that Sync particularly cared. He'd torment Chihiro if he damn well wished it to be a thing that happened.
"What's your damn hurry, anyway? You got some place to be? A boyfriend with some terminal illness? Or are you just looking for trouble?" Sync asked. He'd have listed more, but those were the only three things that had popped into his head. He was rolling with the assumption that Chihiro was a girl by that point, too, in spite of what others might have said. The kid looked and sounded like a girl to him. Might as well roll with that thought.

Chihiro looked taken back by the curtness in the boy's voice and took a step backwards. His cheeks turned a bright shade of pink when he said boyfriend. He was almost about to correct Sync but decided against it. "I...I just wanted to get to the library, get this homework done before my next class." he said mumbling quietly. "I always like to get it done ahead of time if that makes sense."
Why was he even telling Sync this? Maybe it was a bit of an excuse of why he was in such a hurry. "I am glad you aren't hurt. And I am really sorry."
Something told him that an apology wouldn't be enough to get past him, after all, Chihiro was pretty sure that this was the boy who had beaten up Arietta. He could only hope that the green haired boy would not notice what circle he was in.
