Brief History: Rocky is just your average teenager going to your every day average high school. Due to some unfortunate events in middle school Rocky swore he would never be that scrawny little weakling again and began working out and training himself to look and act tough so no bully would ever mess with him again. Since that fateful incident in middle school he has been constantly on guard against threats, to the point where he's picked fights with people who insult him. Because of this, he's got some fairly good idea of how to fight and defend himself and despite his scrawny appearance is quite wiry and strong and usually takes his opponents by surprise with his strength.
When Rocky received a letter inviting him to a prestigious school his mother was ecstatic and encouraged him to go as he may never get another opportunity like this again, and Rocky does, expecting a wondrous educational experience. What he gets is more than he bargained for but at least, he figures, he knows how to fight better than most students here and won't go down in the arena so easily.
