Brief History: Originally the social outcast of his tribe, Hiccup wanted to prove that he could kill dragons and be a real Viking. What he ended up doing was the exact opposite. Hiccup ended up shooting down a Night Fury, the dragon his fellow Vikings knew the least about, and learned through helping him to fly again that dragons weren't evil. He dubbed the dragon Toothless and became skilled at flying with him, but eventually the secret came out. He and Toothless worked together to save the isle of Berk from a massive dragon, Hiccup losing a part of his left leg in the process, and became heroes the hard way.
Peace reigned for a while, but one day a Terrible Terror flew in with a strange message addressed to Hiccup. It was inviting him to a school. Although he was uncertain about leaving Toothless behind, especially knowing the dragon couldn't fly without him, he left behind instructions on how to help Toothless fly and decided, against his better judgment, to investigate the school situation.
