Jack frowned, at the concept of the paper. Someone historic? Did that mean like Santa? He was historic right? Or the Easter Bunny? Maybe the teacher meant like a president or something. He bit his lip and tapped the pencil against the paper thinking. Who could he write about meeting? He didn't know many people, after all he had been dead for almost 300 years. Finally, he decided to start writing about meeting Shakespeare. It wasn't that bad, it seemed easy but if the teacher asked, then jack would be honest.
--- Late. He was very late. Stupid alarm didn't wake him up. Yosuke had practically tripped over every crack on the floor to get to this class. 'Smooth move Yosuke, first class of the day and you are late.' he frowned, hoping that the teacher wouldn't rag on him like King Moron had back in his old school. "Sorry I'm late teach...I got lost." he replied and took a seat next to Elsa. "Hey...uh, did i miss anything?"

As it turned out, having seventy feet of thick hair was something that needed to be factored into ones schedule. Rapunzel, however, did not do that, and wound up walking into class red-faced and extremely late. It wan't entirely her fault. She just had to spend an ungodly amount of time braiding back her hair (by herself, but then again, she wasn't going to trust anyone else to touch it. What if they tried to cut it?!), it was either that or get stepped on all day long. And the poor freckled blonde's scalp still ached from learning that lesson on her first day here. The braid wasn't entirely comfortable, either, but the weight was a whole lot better than feeling sharp yanks constantly throughout the day.
"I'm sorry I'm late! There was...and my hair kind of - " She cut herself off, unsure of how to finish that sentence without sounding...well, odd. 'I was braiding my freakishly long hair and it took too long?' Maybe it was better if she just shut up. With that in mind, Rapunzel took a seat near the front of the class and made it all of five seconds before she realized she had no idea what they were doing.
Sheepishly, the girl raised her hand. "Um, what is it we're doing?"

For a moment, Morri just gazed down at the pencil and paper in dismay. What was he supposed to do with these? None of the teacher's instructions were making any sense to him. Historical figures? Unless Old Bone counted, he certainly didn't know any. And he seriously doubted anyone besides himself would know about Old Bone. He glanced in a couple different directions at once, trying to get some kind of clue from the other students, but all they seemed to be doing was making marks on the paper. The mutant dog was even more confused now.
After a moment, for lack of a better idea, he hesitantly picked up the pencil in his almost hand-like paw, and drew a pictogram of himself meeting Old Bone, simply gazing at the Old One in awe. It might not be what the teacher wanted, but it was the best he could do.

While Hiccup frantically tried to scribble something down, for he was clueless when it came to historical figures beyond those who originated from Berk, Elsa continued to write as smoothly as she could. She was nearing the end of a sentence when someone tried to get her attention. Their doing so caused her pen to briefly scratch against the surface of the paper and down in a line, wrecking the neat handwriting she had been working with up until that point. Remaining calm, however, was in Elsa's blood. She exhaled quietly and glanced back at the one who'd asked her what they were doing.
"We're supposed to be writing about what we would do if we met a historical figure of our choice," she answered simply. The answer should have been sufficient. At least, she was hoping it was. Hopefully the one who had asked wouldn't ask anything else to distract her.

Yosuke nodded. "Thanks." he said, taking in her blue colors. She was in the water circle to. Funny, he had never seen her around. Maybe she was just shy, like Yukiko-san had been. He took out a pencil and paper and thought for a moment and starting to write. The essay seemed pretty simple actually, at least to him. He knew quite a bit of historic figures thanks to Miss Sofue at Yasogami High.
--- Jack frowned at his paper. He hadn't gotten a good start. Well, he had gotten a few paragraphs but he still had quite a bit of work to do. He hoped that the teacher wouldn't be too harsh on his paper. After all, it was just one paper, the first paper. Scratching the back of his neck, the boy let his gaze wander out the window for a moment so that he could think. The white haired spirit wished that the day would end already. He wanted to get out there and fly.

Frown creased Astrid's features as the canine teacher voiced their assignment. She didn't mean to judge the class from the get-go, but... it struck her as rather pointless. Quite aside from her unfamiliarity with historical figures, she didn't know anyone back in Berk who would have devoted any significant time to writing what essentially amounted to works of fiction. Weren't there plenty of more important things any of them could have been doing? Like training, preparing for the battles to come; gods knew that Hiccup, just for one example, needed it. He may have had a way with dragons, but that didn't translate to much when his opponents would be real people. And he wasn't the only one who Astrid thought looked as though he needed some serious training before he would survive in the arena.
Still, this was what she was being asked to do, and Astrid wasn't going to disobey a direct instruction right now. After pondering for a moment, she recalled the tales her grandfather had told her of the Vikings who had first sailed to Berk and settled there. They counted as historical figures, right? Or close enough, anyway. Putting her pen to the paper, the viking girl began to write, feeling rather silly about the whole thing.
It would certainly be safe to say that Astrid's work would be in no danger of passing for perfection. While her prose was neat enough - though whether Brian would be able to read the viking runes was another matter entirely - fiction was something the warrior girl was as good as a stranger to. Her writing would read as incredibly flat and lacking much real emotion; the whole concept was just so hard for her to get behind when she kept wondering what they were even doing this for. Finally, she leant a little closer to Hiccup.
"Tell me you're finding doing this as weird as I am," she asked hopefully. Knowing Hiccup and his own brand of weirdness, this might not seem strange to him at all; but Astrid was willing to bet that this 'creative writing' was almost as far out of his comfort zone as it was hers.
(Whoo, I actually found some Astrid muse! At least, for her in this thread.)
