(September 2nd, open to all lions coughcoughNukacoughcough)
She opened her mouth and yawned, stretching as the female scratched a few hairs out of place on her messy coat. She snorted, shaking her head before cracking her back one last time. She was trying to continue the training Zira had instilled in her body. She was going to run, to jump, to pounce, everything she needed to slaughter whoever her opponent was.
Unless it was Nuka.
Her playmate and crush was still on her mind. Her shoulders rolled, ears pinning in the back as she lept towards the track, taking off in the blurr of a run. She wasn't as fast as Zira wanted but she would try.

Nuka glowered as he made his way out onto the exercise field. Of course that little termite had to be in a different Circle. While the Outlander Prince wouldn't shed a single tear if the 'Chosen One' got himself killed, Mother wouldn't be happy. And somehow, it would be all his fault. On top of that, Simba's little Princess was here, too. While nobody really mentioned it, Nuka knew the truth about Kiara and his sister. And it irked him to see Vitani hanging around with Simba's cub.
He rolled his eyes and dismissed them from his thoughts, looking over some of the exercise equipment set up around the field. He didn't know what to make of most of it, so he ignored it all, his interest caught by a flash of motion on the track. For a moment, he just stared, a bit stunned, as his brain registered what his eyes were seeing.
Kuzimu. His only real friend, besides, perhaps, Vitani. If anything, he was closer to the scruffy lioness than he was to his sister. He'd recognize her anywhere. His tail twitched as he watched her run, a devious grin crossing his face. The scrawny lion crouched low, and padded silently behind a nearby obstacle, ready to ambush his friend when she got close. The track was only a few feet from the edge of his hiding spot.

Claws folding into the dirt the girl tried to keep her lungs full of air so she wouldn't collapse beneath her paws. This was her issue; grade A laziness had made her slow. Her ears folded back as she panted, her claws digging into the ground to keep her from falling. She paused briefly, panting, chest rising and falling with her slender rib cage heaving as she looked about. She smelled someone or something close to her.
Rolling her shoulders in a shrug, the female stretched again, cracking bones as she started to jog again.

Sure enough, Kuzimu passed close by, and by a stroke of luck, stopped to catch her breath not far from Nuka's hiding spot. The scrawny lion's tail twitched behind him as he tensed up, poised to spring. As soon as he heard the lioness begin to jog, he sprang, darting towards her with a manic grin plastered across his face.
"Yaaah!" he yowled playfully as he charged straight at her side, intending to tackle her to the ground, almost forgetting for the moment that they were far from the Outlands.

(I look at the Nuka post & I'm so used to playing him I go; Oh I already posted here XD)
"OH KINGS WHAT?!"
Kuzimu yelped as she rolled onto the dirt. She was shocked by the impact, confused by the fact she'd been slammed into by something. However, Zira & her mother's training kicked in as she let out a growl before ripping her head to the side. She seemed to bounce though on the ground as she tried to whip her head to the side to see...the prince of the outlands.
"NUKA! What?!"

(XD-I can understand that!)
Nuka tumbled over Kuzimu as his outstretched paws collided with her shoulder. But he had received his own share of training from Zira, and used his momentum to simply roll back to his feet. He burst out into laughter at the look on his friend's face.
"Ha ha ha! You should-ha ha...you should see the look on your face!" he laughed, slumping down onto his haunches as he laughed. After a moment, he calmed down, and grinned at Kuzimu. While he had always been glad to see her ever since they had become friends, lately, whenever he saw her, he felt different. It was almost like the feeling he got whenever he saw fire. It was strange.
"Hey, Kuzimu. Glad to see me?" he asked, still grinning like a loon.

Kuzimu gave a slick, somewhat shy grin on her face as she raised up, rolling over on her body as she faced the male she knew as the prince. Her ears flicked upwards. Nuka. Her best friend. Her FIRST friend. "Ha, ha," she scoffed, "I let you do that, you know that." She smiled, tilting her head to the side.
"I'm always glad to see you, you also know that," she said, rolling her emerald eyes. She stretched, trying to look casual despite blushing under her fur. "What're you doing creepin' in the bushes anyway?" She asked.

Nuka just smirked at Kuzimu's claim, but he didn't argue with her. Even if she had just let him tackle her, which he doubted, it had still been fun. And, of course, good practice. "Of course," he said, still smirking as he stretched lazily.
His smirk shifted into a grin as she spoke again. "Of course I know. I just like hearing you say so," he said, half-teasing, half serious. At least somebody was always happy to see him. Scar had never had much to do with him, but he had been the king, and he supposed, too busy. But Mother never seemed to be happy to see him, either. Oh, no, her attention was all for that little termite.
"Oh, I just thought I'd practice pouncing. Hone my skills," he said, looking down at his paw and flexing his claws in and out of their sheaths.

"Yeah, skills."
The female stretched her skinny body, grinning towards her crush. She couldn't let Nuka know so teasing was the only thing she had. Female tilted her head towards him, moving forward. "Least we don't have to worry about termites here," she muttered, "Or LITTLE singular termites if you catch my drift." She elbowed Nuka in the ribs gently.
"Practice pouncing? Hrm," she whistled, "I don't know if that's gonna help us so much here."

Nuka glanced back up at Kuzimu when she spoke, and frowned for a moment at her teasing tone, but it didn't last. He'd never been able to stay angry with her, and he had never really wanted to. He couldn't help but grin back at her when she mentioned not having to worry about termites. He hated termites! And that reminded him of the termite. Kovu.
But all thought of the little termite left his mind when Kuzimu playfully elbowed his ribs, drawing a soft grunt from his maw.
"Yeah, you're probably right," he said, shrugging. Truth was, he didn't really know what would help them. Training to fight lions was different from training to fight other creatures. Wasn't it? He scratched at his scraggly mane in thought. Slowly, an idea formed in his mind. "It might be a better idea to practice hunting, instead. Go for the throat, and all that."
