Lucky dug into his own food as he listened to Hiccup talk, taking a whopping bite out of a pancake and chewing thoughtfully, cheeks bulging comically not unlike a hamster's as he looked at the people in question Hiccup pointed out to be in the fight. "Cool!!" Lucky burst out happily, almost missing the last part of Hiccup's statement and spraying a fountain of wet crumbs out of his open mouth. A horse with wings and a horn and a person? Well the last part sounded lame but Lucky was really interested to see how Luna handled herself in the arena. He'd seen shows with magical talking ponies before (flipping channels of course, waiting on Thunderbolt) but never one with wings AND a horn. It was usually one or the other, or he'd thought so. It meant Luna could use magic right? And fly? That was pretty awesome. He was about to ask if Luna and Arietta would be fighting each other in the arena when Hiccup spoke again.
"...and my girlfriend, too."
"Girlfriend?" Lucky's ears pricked and he tilted his head, cheeks still full of pancake. Once again, crumbs spilled out of his mouth as he spoke. It was rather undignified but Lucky was excited and rather nonchalant at this point about good table manners. He swallowed, looking thoughtful. Yeah, he could imagine. It'd be like if Two-tone... well, Two-tone wasn't... exactly his girlfriend yet, but he had hope. "Oh. I'm sorry." He didn't know what else to say. Casting his gaze downward, his gaze fell upon his tray again and Lucky pondered taking another pancake whole.
