(September 5th. Open to all.)
"We shall have a slice of cake and you shall not deter me sir! We do not care that it is breakfast time! Give us CAKE! THY PRINCESS COMMANDS YOU!"
Luna's ears folded back as she slammed her hooves on the tray where she was resting. Her eyes glowed. Celestia would be upset but the female didn't care. Damnit, she wanted her cake! She had read the list. She had seen Twilight Sparkle and her hyper friend Pinkie Pie were to fight. The female was disgusted and upset. This peon was not going to deny her some cake.
"We would not like the sliced backside of a pig! That is barbaric! Nor do we want the eggs of a chicken! We would like cake!" She was about the threaten the cafeteria worker with a spell when a hand or something touched her unfurled wing.

It was Hiccup's hand that had brushed against Luna's wing.
He had a feeling that she had good reason to be upset, and he had good enough reason to agree with her. Well, not about wanting cake for breakfast. He wasn't altogether sure if that was a good idea on a stomach like his that was nervous and fluttery. But, he would agree that if Luna was upset that she had good reason to try and take it out on someone... Just not by blowing them to smithereens with magic. If that was even possible. Hell, Hiccup didn't really know what all was possible as far as Luna went. All he knew was that she was a winged unicorn and his friend. A very odd friend, granted, but a friend nonetheless.
"You might want to consider toning it down a little there, Luna," Hiccup suggested rather sheepishly. He withdrew his hand after a moment and let it drop to his side. The last thing he wanted to do was make her anymore upset than she already was. Hell, he couldn't even blame her. He knew this was supposed to be a day that the fights happened on, but he hadn't seen the list quite yet. That would change later in the day.
"Are you okay? I mean... I don't think I've seen you this upset before," he commented.

Luna turned towards Hiccup and placed her silver cupped hooves on the ground. Her ears lifted. "Ah, friend sir Hiccup, the dragon rider." She liked the skinny male. He had a strong heart and he reminded her somehow of Fluttershy. Soft spoken but strong. Her tail flowed behind her as she tilted her head down towards him. Her wings folded as she raised a frustrated hoof towards the male cafeteria worker. "This PEON has refused to serve thy princess with cake. Tis not fair. We just want sweets for breakfast."
Her ears flowed downwards. "Art thou not nervous, my friend?" She said, "Art thou among those to battle?"
Luna's eyes flicked towards the worker again. "I still do not see cake!"

The title made Hiccup grin a little bit, but it was an awkward sort of grin. Not unlike how Toothless had first smiled at him when they'd begun to bond... Though a lot easier on the eyes due to the fact that Hiccup actually had teeth to see. Good old Luna... Somehow, she'd figured out how to make him smile a little and succeeded in quelling his nerves a tiny bit in the process. He remembered that the fights were supposed to be that day, but admittedly was uncertain of whether or not he had to participate. He didn't think he did, though. Someone would have told him if that was the case.
And of course, Luna's answer regarding what had upset her made him snigger a little bit. Cake for breakfast... It was still an entirely foreign concept to the Viking in some regards. But he'd try to help her as best he could.
"Well... There's those round cake things there," Hiccup pointed out, referring to the pancakes nearby, "and those are sweet from what I can gather. That's probably as close as you're going to get."
Ah... Right. The question of whether or not he was nervous had come up. Hiccup nodded in response to that much before allowing himself to speak further. He might as well reveal to her that he hadn't the slightest clue about his own standings as far as the fighting went.
"I haven't actually ah... Checked the list or anything yet," Hiccup admitted. That was probably a stupid thing for him to have admitted to. Maybe even stupider than the way he'd gone about introducing Astrid to Toothless before. Far too late to take it back now, though, he realized. All that could be done was rolling with the response and continuing from there. If he made himself any more foolish, he'd probably be aware of it.
"But yeah, I'm nervous. I don't know who's supposed to be fighting yet. Guess I'll have to find out for myself, though... That's gonna be awkward if I'm supposed to be fighting and don't even know it."

Luna's ears lowered, tilting her head towards Hiccup. She gave a nod towards the small round looking things. She blinked before waving a hoof at the worker again. "You there! Give us those sweet circles now. Giveth some to our friend sir Hiccup as well. We need our strength this foul morning." She snorted, turning back to Hiccup and placing her head down towards the male. She was shocked. He hadn't checked the list? Well that was good for him.
"Thou art not on the list, my friend," she said, "We were quite pleased to see that. However..."
Her head snapped to the cafeteria worker. "Thou best get thy backside in gear!" She turned back to Hiccup. "Thou dost recall the little spotted canine? Well, I must...fight him." Luna used her magic to lift her tray and Hiccup's.
"Wouldst thou like the juice of an orange? Or some coffee?"

Rebecca was in line, trying to balance with her paws as she looked at the various different foods they had in store. A small sniff, and she was met with all different scents, many that she didn't recognize. Not that she'd know anyway, but it was worth a chance. When she got here, Rebecca had expected maybe she would meet someone... her parents maybe? But no such luck. This didn't seem like the place her blurry memory led to at all! No one seemed to know who she was even. Rebecca did have to wonder how they'd gotten her name then. Ever since she woke up without any memory, she had not signed up for any school. So it must've been before she lost her memory... right?
Frowning, she sniffed a piece of a round hamburger. unsure what it was. Maybe something like steak. Rebecca knew stuff like steak, and other animal names, but lots of this stuff seemed familiar. It definately was meat... but not like she was used to. But it must be good anyway... holding out her paw towards the hamburger, she looked up at the worker behind the counter. "May I have some of this?"
"Thou dost recall the little spotted canine?"
Rebecca's ears perked at this, and she looked at the two others in line. Maybe... she was speaking about another dalmatian. Rebecca didn't have much knowledge of dogs, but dalmatians were known for their spots, so it might have been one of them. And, taking a closer look at the two others, Rebecca was sure that she wasn't talking about herself. She hadn't met either one of them yet. They were an interesting duo, she noted. One was a boy... and the other was... what was she actually? Frowning a bit, Rebecca tilted her head to the side to inspect her. A blue long-legged creature, with wings like a bird, and some pointy thing on it's head. That was... strange.
"Um... what are ye?" Rebecca said, tilting her head to one side, before realizing the question might be unwelcome. Should she apologize? Probably.

Hiccup was momentarily distracted from getting his pancakes, which Luna had so graciously asked to be given to him, when she answered whether or not he was on the list. That was a huge relief as far as his own safety was concerned, but then she brought up that she and Wizzer were both meant to be fighting each other. Hiccup could only gawk stupidly after that much had been revealed to him. Two of his friends were fighting each other already? That wasn't good, obviously. There was only so much that Luna could do to avoid hurting Wizzer too badly and vice versa.
"You mean Wizzer?" Hiccup finally asked after he'd gotten his pancakes. "Gods... Why would they do this to you guys? It's like they know we actually like each other and don't want to go and try to beat the puss out of each other. Oh, and orange juice is fine."
Coffee just didn't appeal to Hiccup for one reason or another. What he didn't expect, however, was the arrival of Rebecca. He glanced at her and offered as good a wave as he could without dropping his tray. Was she related to Wizzer? If not she was just another dalmatian with... Rather strange spots. Not that Hiccup was one to judge. The question she'd posed had been directed at Luna, so he'd let her answer.

"You mean Wizzer?"
"Yes. Wizzer." She nodded her head, ears flicking up as she placed the cup of pre poured orange juice on Hiccup's tray while grabbing a cup of coffee for herself. Pouring milk and such in it while she spoke to Hiccup, she let out a heavy sigh. "Tis true," she mused as she poured the sugar, "They seem to know. We only hope the fight is not to the death. Though We can hold our own in a battle of great strength, fighting one considered a friend is-whoops." She winced as the coffee overflowed with sugar and creme. She shrugged and stirred it with her magic.
A squeaky little voice interrupted her musing. "Um... what are ye?" She blinked. "Yet another spotted canine?" She said, "Art thou related to our friend Wizzer?" She shifted her hooves.
"We are an alicorn," she said proudly, "A princess of Equestria! Who are you, small spotted one?"

As the strange creature spoke to her, her eyes widened slightly. So there were other dalmatians here. Maybe one of them were her parents? Or were they all pups like her? She didn't remember any other dalmatian pups. She had no idea if she had any siblings... or friends. Rebecca had wondered if she could know Wizzer. It could be possible, after all. That other dalmatian had to get a letter like hers, so he could be someone she knew before she lost her memory.
"I... don't remember..." Rebecca said, frowning a bit as she said it. What else could she say? As silly as it sounded, it was true. If she knew, she would tell them. But with no recollection of her life before she woke up with only a bit of her memory intact, and a small bit at that. If they asked her further... well, it would be fine she supposed.
Rebecca tilted her head to the side slightly as she looked at the... alicorn. So that's what she was called. And a princess! Well, she did seem a bit majestic when Rebecca thought about it. Giving a smile, Rebecca got ready to introduce herself. "Muh name's Rebecca." Her cerulean eyes drifted from the princess to the coffee overflowing, spilling towards the ground. "Oh, do ye need some help with that?"

Hiccup winced a little when he saw Luna's cup overflow slightly. Evidently it wasn't that much of a problem, though, because Luna just shrugged a little and continued to make her coffee. He adjusted the hold of his tray as Luna answered Rebecca's question and as the little dalmatian spoke up. She didn't remember? How could she not? Unless... Maybe the poor little thing suffered from amnesia. Hiccup's expression softened a little at that thought, though he didn't comment on it. Making Rebecca worry about whether or not she could remember things wasn't the best of ideas. Instead, he wanted to introduce himself as well.
"Hi. I'm Hiccup. Good to meet you, Rebecca. Me and Luna were just going to have breakfast, if you want to join us," Hiccup said. Might as well offer to let her join, right? If the poor little dalmatian didn't have any friends, he might as well try to reach out to her. Who even cared that they weren't in the same circle? He and Luna were friends in spite of him being in the earth circle and her being in the fire circle, so what was the harm in letting in a girl from the water circle? There was no harm, at least as far as Hiccup was concerned. Besides, Rebecca seemed like a nice girl. That would make it all the better if they did manage to befriend one another.

"Hm? The coffee? No, no, we...like it with excessive amounts of sugar." She lied. She stuck her tongue out and tossed the cup away, grabbing another just as quickly, all done with the magic in her horn. "But our friend Hiccup is right. You must join us for breakfast." She bobbed her head. "Nice to meet you Rebecca." Strange names. Her ears lifted up before padding towards the cafateria itself. She led the way as a princess should do. Rebecca didn't seem nervous. So was that because she hadn't encountered the list yet?
"We shall locate the perfect place to sit, shall we?" She nodded towards a table. "Is that satisfactory for you, friends?"

She still wasn't used to all this.
Though her amber eyes flickered over the other three present, Kiara's attention was mostly on the food as she placed her forepaws up on the counter to look over it all. At this time of day back home, she'd be chowing down on a leg of antelope or zebra from whatever mom and the other lionesses had brought back from their latest hunt. All this... stuff... wasn't at all what she was used to. Most of it was edible, apparently, but not a lot of it looked apealling to the spoiled little princess. Better than Timon and Pumbaa's yukky grubs, that was for sure, but...
As she had the last few days, Kiara frowned up at the cafeteria worker. "Don't you have any antelope in yet? This stuff looks weird."
At the negative response, the little lioness pouted slightly and let her chin come to rest on the counter as she tried to puzzle out what actually looked any good to eat. As of yet, no real attention was paid to the other students present; it wasn't that Kiara hadn't noticed the odd trio, but so far the issue of breakfast was taking priority for her.
If only some of it looked like anything she was familiar with, she might have had better luck picking something.

"Oh, it's nice to meet you both," Rebecca said with a smile, before she brightened up at the offer. She had been planning on trying to find a table with others that looked friendly, but eating with others she already knew? And they seemed nice. "Oh, sure!" Her tail began to slowly wag at the thought, before she looked at the empty table. "Of course! Let me just get something to drink before we go."
Turning back to face the counter, Rebecca's eyes scanned the different variety of drinks they had set out. The drinks all were different colors... weird. Sniffing each one, she wrinkled her noise. "Can I just have some water?" After a glass was handed on her tray, she nosed the meat - hamburger the worker explained to her - on her tray. She was pretty sure that's all she needed.
"Do you have antelope in yet? This stuff looks weird?"
Turning her head, her eyes fell on the young... cat? She wasn't sure. Apparently Luna wasn't the only weird animal out of here. "I think that thing is good." Rebecca said, pointing her paw at the hamburger round-things. "One of the workers recommended it to me." She wasn't sure that antelope was meat or not, but it could be, right? Or was it a fruit? She wasn't sure.

Arietta was scared and nervous. To say that she was feeling sick was an understatement. She was not looking forward to this fight. No doubt this Sync person, who had laughed at her when she had seen the list was going to hold nothing back. But what could she do? Magic? That was nothing. She was nothing without animals but that probably wasn't allowed.
Her eyes were already filling with tears, but she tried not to let anyone see them as she looked around the room, spotting Luna and hiccup at a table with a few other animals. Maybe she could sit with them, picking up her food, which wasn't much but a fruit salad, a muffin and a glass of apple juice, the girl quietly walked over to the table.
"...Is it alright if I sit with you guys today?" she asked, a bit more quieter than usual.

"Yeah, that spot looks perfect Luna," Hiccup answered. He followed her to the table and set his tray down, but just as he did he thought he saw a bit of pink from the corner of his eye. Pink... There was only one person Hiccup knew that had any bit of pink on her. Apart from Rebecca, that is. The little dalmatian had a pink heart on her cheek, he noticed rather belatedly, but she wasn't the one he was thinking of. He turned in time to see Arietta and catch her question... As quiet as it was. The poor girl looked rather pale and frightened. That alone was enough to give cause to worry about his friend. Worry flickered through emerald colored eyes and he moved a bit closer to Arietta after a moment.
"Arietta, are you okay? What happened?" Hiccup asked. He was beginning to wish he'd actually bothered to wake up as early as possible. If he'd woken up earlier, he would have been able to see the list sooner. Was... Had Arietta ended up on the list of people that had to fight that day? The thought made Hiccup's heart sink into his stomach. Just how many of his friends were going to be fighting today? It was only thankful that he wasn't on that dreaded list. Though, given the circumstances... Hiccup almost wished he did have to fight. Then all of them would be in the dreaded situation together. Alas, it seemed that he was just sort of lucky this time around.
Only belatedly did he hear Kiara's voice and realize that Rebecca was speaking to her. He'd never seen an animal like Kiara on the isle of Berk before, but if she came over to join them... Perhaps he'd learn more. For the moment, he hoped that Arietta would tell him if his concern was ill placed.
