He DID know how to play! Kiara didn't waste any time; completely missing the cheetah who had just approached and was trying to talk to them in her enthusiasm, the uniformed lioness sprang towards Ronno again. She thought briefly of going for another tackle, engaging in a playful scuffle with him; but realised that in all likelyhood, he would be expecting her to do just that. No, something different was in order. And so, instead of jumping at him again, Kiara stopped just before Ronno, instead striking out at his shoulder with her paw.
"Tag! You're it!"
She bounded back out of range, her tail whipping madly behind her with excitement. If Kiara had realised that the purpose of the gym was specificallt for practicing for battles, she might have realised that there was no way this game could be mistaken for training; as it was, however, the young lioness would remain happily oblivious unless someone told her otherwise.

Oh, yeah. This girl and Snotlout would get on great with each other, Hiccup thought. It was as if Trixie thought she was the greatest thing in the universe! After all, she was referring to herself in the third person and bragging all over the place. Hiccup had accomplished some pretty amazing feats for one as young as he was, especially given his origins, but he didn't go bragging about them every chance he got. Instead, Hiccup preferred to let others ask for themselves. That way, he wasn't the one throwing information in their faces without reason to. First, though, he decided to address the issue of his name. Her comment had earned a slight smirk in response and a casual shrug. "Trust me when I say that, where I'm from, 'Hiccup' isn't the worst name you could get stuck with. Oh, and no. I hadn't heard of your feats of daring there. Frankly, I don't even know what an Ursa Major is," Hiccup said. Blunt Viking was blunt and he didn't really seem to care about what he had said. He was, however, interested to know why such a dainty looking creature (at least in his eyes) was doing in a place that seemed so dangerous. What had made the unicorn want to come to this school? "Anyway... You don't exactly look like much of a... Well, you look more like a sort of... What are you doing here, exactly?" Trixie frowned. She wasn't expecting him to know but at least he should have recognized her as a great unicorn. "What am I doing here?" she asked, as if the question was very obvious. "Trixie is here to attend this school and prove that she is a fighter. She recieved her letter just as you have. The school looks to be filled with most interesting things and creatures. I figured I could learn more than my rivals and prove to others that I am not weak and stronger than the rest." She held her head up high with a confident smirk on her face. "But really, it is no wonder i received a letter to this school, Trixie is one of the most magical creatures in all of Equestria. This school shall know it as well." She turned her gaze to the animals that seemed to be playing. How immature. Her purple gaze returned to Hiccup. "What brings you to this school Hiccup. You do not seem like a fighter."

Ronno hadn't expected that! He thought she might wanna spar or play predator and prey, a game he'd forced Karus to play on more than one occasion. But she'd wanted to play tag! That was easy enough! And he was it, his favorite role! He rose up on his back hooves, rearing up as he tossed himself after Kiara. The other lame people went unseen by the braggart bully; he was just happy to have someone to play with who actually wanted to play and didn't wanna yell at him.
"I'll get you!" He snorted, shaking his head downwards. He was just imitating, not actually trying to impale the cub but just showing off.

"Oh yeah?" Kiara darted out of Ronno's path, giggling. Her paws batted at the end of her school tie as she ran, but she wore it tied short enough that she didn't run the risk of stepping on it and slowing herself down. The young lioness sprinted in the opposite direction from her new friend, darting around the wolf and the cheetah to put them momentarily between herself and her pursuer.
"I bet you can't catch me," she taunted, her tail whipping through the air above her as she bounced from side to side, watching Ronno from between their legs. Whichever direction he rounded the two larger animals from, she would scurry off in the other direction. She didn't really have many friends to play games with back home, so the Princess was currently enjoying herself a lot more than she had in ages.

"Well, you'd be right. I'm not a fighter at all. Hell, I couldn't even kill a dragon when I was given a chance to," Hiccup admitted. Killing was his weakness, really. He was a softy, far too kind to kill anyone, and he wasn't about to deny that much. He didn't even know how to wield a sword. All he had at his disposal was the idea of protecting himself with a shield or something. Hiccup didn't have such a thing at his disposal, though, so he'd have to improvise sooner or later. Maybe he'd make one at some point?
"I actually came because I thought this would be an actual school. Turns out, it follows the line of thinking of my village's blacksmith. 'Ah've always believed in learnin' on the job', he'd say. So here we are. Getting ready to bash each others' heads in with whatever we can get our hands on, I guess."

"Ah, stealth tactics!" Morri rumbled, chuckling a bit as he watched the young deer scramble to his feet and puff out his chest. He kind of reminded him of Pyramos, in some ways. Arrogant, hot-headed, a bit full of himself, but not all bad. The big dog watched in amusement as the deer and the lion cub ran off, playing tag. He was half-tempted to join them, but another big cat approached. He turned his seven-eyed gaze on the creature, considering the cat's offer to spar. It was almost as tall as he was. But, he could really use a partner to practice with.
"Sure, let's spar for a while," he said, smiling a bit as his tail gave a brief flick. He spread his front legs a bit and bowed in a playful posture, as much as his humped back would allow anyways, ready to begin.

"Please! I'm the fastest strongest deer in the forest! I can catch you!" His emerald eyes narrowed, grinning wildly as he bounced back and forth, head raising, ears flicking back. He liked this girl! She was neat, much more fun than Faline. Faline never wanted to play with him, she was too busy with princess Bambi. Ears flickered as he darted around the wolf, careful not to tread on it for fear of stepping on it and pissing the wold off.
He wobbled on his feet a bit as he turned the corner around trying to catch the princess before him. He'd never imagined he'd be playing with a puma cub before. Boy would he be able to brag about that!

Cheetor took a few short paces back, his ears folding back when the two young animals began ducking around him.
"This isn't what I asked for," Uttered the cheetah uncomfortably.
Planting his paws, he swiveled his head around to the wolf with the spiderlike eyes. Able to bring himself to ignore the fawn and the cub playing tag for the moment, Cheetor let a smile cross his muzzle. It seemed like Morri was the perfect size for him. He would have also trained with one of the smaller critters if offered, but he would have been gentle - Cheetor rather liked kids and didn't want to really bring harm to them. The yellow cat bot faced the mutant wolf, his tail swishing behind him in anticipation. He crouched low to the ground and bounced on the tips of his toes. Ever the eager one, Cheetor made his move first; the big cat hoped foreword and swished one of his paws out in front of him.

"Missed me!" Kiara lurched backwards as Ronno came at her from the wolf's side, veering in the opposite direction before he could tag her back, giggling the whole time. This was so much fun! The young lioness sprinted away from the other students, towards a less-crowded corner of the gym. More open space might make it easier for Ronno to catch her - but it would also lessen the risk of tripping anyone else up by darting amongst their legs. Besides, Kiara was confident that she could outrun the young deer.
Though even as large as the gym was, it didn't have enough space for her to evade her pursuer forever. Without slowing, the feline princess let her eyes wander the equipment stacked against one wall, wondering if she could use any of it to her advantage.

"I see," Trixie nodded with interest. "Well, i suppose it is a bit of a shock to all of us who came here." In truth, Trixie had not expected others to fight here either. It would just a normal school, but it was more than it seemed. Trixie should have expected it, nothing was ever what it seemed. Her eyes went wide when he mentioned killing dragons. "You...you're what is it? You people, have killed dragons?" she asked, her voice cracking in disbelief. Dragons had always been in her community, it wasn't like they showed up often, but when they did. The ponies didn't result to killing unless they had to. Which wasn't very often.

He nodded in response to her query about killing dragons. It was almost as though he was answering the most casual question in the world, really. The feud between dragons and Vikings had been going on for centuries, and it had ended all because of him and Toothless. Quite the feat, really. It certainly was nothing to gawk at.
"Yep. The people in my village have a bit of a history of killing dragons. 300 years of stubbornness, dragons, and killing. It didn't change until recently when we found out why the dragons had always been causing us problems. ...Why do you ask? You make it sound like killing dragons is unheard of or something," Hiccup said. He knew they probably should have been training or something, but the unicorn's questions fascinated him. Maybe there weren't dragons where Trixie was from? In all likeliness, it was impossible for there to have been dragons or there were so few that they didn't cause problems. Should he mention how he trained Toothless? ...Maybe not. He wouldn't bring it up unless Trixie asked.

"Well, its not unheard of but in Equestria, we have dragons. But we leave them alone and try to go about our merry-ways unless the dragons decide to do harm to the town or something." Trixie waved her hoof in front of her as if it was more of a passing thought. "If they do that though, the ponies or citizens try to drive the dragon out peacefully. We only kill if it is the only option left. At least that's how it used to be done." she shrugged. "It could be possible that pony politics have changed."

Morri's tail wagged in anticipation as he watched the cheetah, muscles tensing as he waited for their bout to begin. While still unaware of the bot's true nature, from what he could see, there was nothing new about the cheetah crouched before him. While Surama and Hafmar were the real hunters of the pack, he had done his own fair share, and hunting in the Crater was extremely dangerous. When the big cat lunged forward, Morri reared up on his hind legs before bringing his forepaws down at the cat's head, not too hard, but enough to give him a good thump if his paws hit their target.

"Yeah, I get that. Dragons aren't the monsters we thought they were for years, so now we live in harmony with them," Hiccup said. This pony was interesting, that was for sure. She seemed like a complete braggart, yes, but at least she wasn't out for blood or anything. He was more surprised she hadn't tried to fight him yet. Maybe ponies weren't as much of a fighting class as he had first thought. Well, either way, Hiccup wasn't going to question it. Trixie wanted to talk and so he was going to talk with her as long as he could... Or until someone ran over and told them to fight. He didn't think that was going to happen, but on the off chance that it did he wanted to be prepared.
"Everyone told me for ages that I couldn't fight dragons. I didn't believe them, and I ended up capturing the dragon that would be my best friend. I could've killed him, I had a perfectly good chance to, but... I just couldn't. He was defenseless... I couldn't kill him like that, so I let him go. Turns out it was the best decision I'd ever made," Hiccup said.

The large feline's front paws hit the dirt. A small look of wonder was on his face as he began to arch his back, turning up his head. Cheetor parted his jaws slightly to see the wolf lifting up before him. His move to jump away came slightly to slow and his nose was bopped, dull claws scraping upon it without quite breaking the skin. The hit was enough to make his snout sore and enough to egg him on into trying some more serious movez. Cheetor scrunched up his face from the discomfort of the hit as he swiveled his lithe body to one side. The cheetah bot knew he didn't have much time before Morri would get back to all four paws. Swiftly, he trust his weight to one side, looking to bump flanks with the canine, possibly catching him off balance if he got lucky.
He didn't plan on changing forms any time soon. If he had to guess by the fact that the wolf was taking this in playfulness like himself, he was not a Predacon. Cheetor was wholeheartedly convinced that the students (other than humans obviously) were things like him. It didn't strike Cheetor as fair to power up unless it was serious business.
